Stayed 1 night here. The room was clean and spacious. The location was great as it is within walking distance to restaurants, etc. Service was good and so was the breakfast. Had quality sleep here as it was pretty quiet.
Only a few steps to the marvelous beach as well as to the restaurants down town. No luxury class hotel but nice and clean. Good breakfast and most importantly very friendly and caring staff. Good starting point for a number of activities (wall of tears, pozas, beach walk, may be 20 minutes walk to Concha de Perla (Snorcheling) and many more.
Room: 3rd floor. Huge. Great views of the ocean. Quiet. Could not have been better. Location: Across from the prettiest part of the beach. 2 - 5 minutes walk from all the restaurants, but far enough away not to be loud. The hotel staff at Volcano Hotel are out of this world. When we needed to leave early in the morning for a tour, the hotel staff came in earlier to start breakfast, which was excellent every day, so we could eat before we left. One day, we misplaced our camera. As this was near the end of our trip, we were freaking out. When we told the receptionist, she called all the tour operators we had used and found out that one had found our camera. Then, she rode her bike to their office, picked up the camera, and brought it back. Even without the high level of service, the days we spent at Volcano Hotel would have been the best of our trip to Ecuador. However, thanks to the attentiveness of the hotel staff, this trip was quite possibly the best vacation of our lives. Thank you Elizabeth!…
Was put in room 303 on the top floor- what a view! No elevator tho. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The common area on the 2nd floor was nice and the breakfast area on the main floor was also good. Breakfast was great- included pancakes, eggs, fruit, toast, and strawberry juice. Not really 'beachfront' as there's another row of buildings on the beach but the lot directly across from the hotel is empty so you still have a nice view. Quiet street. Close to the main square with shops and restaurants, as well as a lagoon where you may get to see flamingos.
This hotel is in a dream location, steps from the beach and just a few blocks from town. Our room was spacious and clean, with a big bath room. It was great to have a laundry line in the bathroom, since we had wet bathing suits every day of our stay. The air conditioning worked great, the wifi only worked in the public areas. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with juice and chilled towels. Our room was on the back side of the hotel, and if I was rebooking I would absolutely book one of the ocean facing rooms.
Would thoroughly recommend - the views were as they look on the management photographs, it was spacious and the chef and receptionists were so helpful and polite. Shower was warm and air con was good!!!
It would be difficult to fault Volcano Hotel. Large and sunny rooms with sea view, superb beddings, nice bathroom with hot water running all day long, + a very friendly and helpfull reception. You are at a short walking distance from evrything, although Puerto Villamill is very small, but the place is totally silent. The beach is across the street. 10 mn from the airport, 5 mn from the harbour. There is a nice open air terrace where you can eat your take away dinner, the breakfast is excellent. No bar, but a fridge well stocked with soft drinks, beers and wines reasonably priced. What else ?
We stayed at Hotel Volcano for 1 night as part of the G Adventures upgraded Galapagos classic land tour. This was hotel was definitely one of our favorites. Modern, clean and a beautiful view of the ocean. We loved sipping a drink on the open air shared balcony area on the 2nd floor. Our breakfast was delicious and we loved having fresh eggs made for us just the way we prefer!
This hotel had the best view I've ever had from the shower! Clean and comfy beds. Free internet in communal areas but not rooms. Staff were very helpful. I'm vegan and they really tried to offer alternatives. Great location, just opposite a stunning beach with relaxed beach bars. Walking distant of restaurants and wetlands with iguanas and flamingos just around the corner.
From m the moment my son and I stepped into the lobby we were kindly greeted by hotel manager Alex. Location is a few steps from the beach. Literally across the street! We had a room on the second story and we had a magnificent view of the beach and ocean. Internet that WORKS!!! The next only hotel that did not cut corners on providing good internet connection in social areas. Was told, network is expanding to cover all rooms so you don’t have to leave your rooms to access. Breakfast is a buffet style. They will ask you how you would like your eggs! Very friendly staff. One very important thing: Isabela Is. is the farthest port to the west, and it is very challenging to get things shipped there. So, I don’t have words to describe the level of service at Volcano hotel!
