To start with, valet parking is so unorganized. We waited in our car to just get up to the valet section for 1/2 hr. Then we go to check in and we had reserved a junior king suite in the North Tower. Instead, they gave us a room in the south tower. It was a no smoking room but the smoke from the casino was coming through the vents and made the room smell and for a person just recovering from cancer treatments, The smoke was not good. We decided we can get past these problems until the hotel turned the outside flood lights on and just about blinded us in our room. Had to shut the curtains at 5 pm and they didn't turn the lights off until almost 8:30 am. Missed the sunrise and couldn't even see the ocean at all while the lights were on. All stupid things, but when we were there celebrating a retirement and a cancer remission, we kind of wanted it to be perfect. Won't stay there again.

My family chose to stay at Tropicana on 1/20/23.We arrived on friday evening to a longgggggg line of people waiting to check in .apparently all the check in kiosk were out of service . there was only one man actually trying to fix the kiosks . we were told by another traveler that he is the only tech person working tonight. i would think they would have called in extra help but that wasn’t the case . the place was packed , there was a cheerleading competition taking place . there were children packed up sleeping on the floor while their parents waited in line to check in . total disaster . and the only option was to wait in a long line at the front desk . what a nightmare ! we were told the wait was 3 hours but it definitely was longer ! we have small children and this mama needed somewhere to pump, ipads we’re dying , toddlers were hungry & cranky . customer service had no answers and didn’t even appear to be empathetic . we were so close to traveling back home which was a 2 hr drive . we finally got to our room at 11:15 pm (havana tower) so pretty much our whole night was spent in line waiting to check in. a complete waste of time and money!!!oh and housekeeping had the audacity to knock in the door at 10:30 a half before checking making sure that were check out at 11 am! i understand things happen glitches with computers etc but it was the way the staff was responding to the issue that truly disappointed me .

DO NOT STAY HERE! My friends and I stayed at trop over the weekend. It was my friends birthday and she loves the trop. We stay there almost every year for her birthday. We did not have a good check in experience but that was not the worst. However I should share, we waited in line for an hour, got to the Chelsea tower, dropped her stuff off and went to leave and the door didn’t shut or lock. We called the desk and they told us we had to come to the desk to get it fixed. We asked for a manager and was told they are busy because of a convention we need to come down. So after carrying all her stuff there we had to carry it back because the door would not lock to even keep it there. I was In the south tower so we brought her stuff there and headed down. When we got to the desk we asked for a room in the south tower and was told there was a conference and we need to pay for an upgrade. I’m sorry we were inconvenienced, AND we are regular customers who would be the ones to come back. Plus, I checked in the day before and was given a upgrade with no cost and I didn’t ask. But whatever that situation was the least of our worries anyway! Next day we were in an elevator. The elevator made a funny noise started to shake up and down and then did not go anywhere. There were a bunch of us in the elevator. It took awhile for the door to open when it finally did we alll got out and went to a different elevator. We thought it was a fluke or one time thing so we didn’t think again about it. Then on Tuesday January 24th my group of 3 were all going to dinner. We got on the elevator on the 7th floor and pressed the button for the lobby. The doors closed and almost immediately we dropped. We went almost airborne in the elevator and stopped abruptly at the 4th floor where we bounced up and down for what felt like a few minutes but maybe it was seconds. There was just my group of 3 and we all were frightened. The doors did not open. We pressed the alarm button, it rang once but nothing else happened. We then hit the open door button nothing happened. We sat in panic for a moment thinking through what to do next. We then hit the open door button again and it opened. We had to step up and out of the elevator. Immediately 2 of us were dizzy. I had to hold myself against the wall because I thought I was going to pass out. Very quickly we decided we needed to tell someone so that no one else went in the elevator. We saw maintenance workers and tried to tell them. They said they would tell someone but they didn’t ask what elevator. We then walked down to the front lobby. We asked to speak to a manager. I said we just had an issue with an elevator. The front desk person went to tell the manager. She told us the manager would be out. Five minutes later the manager was not out. We then told the front desk person what happened. She said you need security. I said we don’t want anything we just want the elevator closed so nothing like this happens to anyone else. She said ok well the manager and security will be out. Ten minutes later (we had dinner reservations to get to) we asked the other front desk person to just write down the elevator number and tell them what happened. We asked him if he would do something. One of the people in my group even made him promise he would look into it and made him right down the elevator number. We hoped he did. When we got back from dinner we didn’t even think about looking. Later in the night 2 of us got in an elevator and the elevator started shaking and making a weird clicking noise. Petrified I realized we didn’t even look, we had gotten in the same elevator. They never serviced it, they never shut it down. The entire situation was appalling, all 3 people looked at us like they heard this everyday. No one asked us if we were ok. No one even cared. That elevator is dangerous and the fact that NOONE cared is appalling. We were humans who went through a scary event and all we were trying to do was help someone else not go through that. Lastly, every night I and my friend had to have our keys rekeyed. And there was always a line for the same with others. I asked why and they admitted they were having problems with keys. I was there 3 nights and went through 6 keys. I travel for a living and know all the things not to do to deactivate a key. Overall, all the employees had horrible attitudes, seriously never had a good or nice person. I know the service industry is struggling, I worked in hospitality. I get it, but to not care for guests time or safety is a serious problem. This experience was so bad that we left check out morning and didn’t even gamble or eat there because we were appalled at the treatment all around. I will never stay at the trop again. Trop management if you read this I highly suggest you fix these issues asap. I don’t want to hear excuses, none of this should be taken lightly. I am also open to be contacted if you need further information. I also included a picture of the elevator, in the south tower, if you have any desire to have it serviced.

I really don't have anything good to say about our stay at the Tropicana. From the minute we got there things did not seem to be going smoothly. The kiosk we used to check in, didn't work well. No keys were produced same it said to go wait in the long line. So the kiosk was useless. I'm so glad the person I was with was waiting in the line, just in case. We needed it. Went to the room and the door didn't shut. Seriously. Luckily (???) the maintenance guy was in the hallway and he came to fix the lock. We also called the front desk and they said you can come and wait in the long, long, long, long, long line again or we can send someone to room. They sent the locksmith(2nd person) and the locksmith said that it wasn't safe and the guy that fixed the lock earlier fixed it only partially, we really needed a carpenter. The solution again was for us to go and wait in the LONG line. So, we did what we could to feel safe. That evening we saw a fight break out in the casino. We were told that this happens nightly. That really made me feel safe especially since my room door doesn't shut well. In fact if I would have been here alone I would not have been able to lift up the door in order to get it to latch. Good thing my guy was able to do that. The next day I went down first thing in the morning and they told me that they would send a carpenter to fix the door. 4:00 p.m. the doot wasn't fixed, I called and was told to go downstairs, so I went back down again. Now we have already spoken to four or five people that work here. Plus two guys that tried to fix the door. They finally moved us to a different room. No upgrade. Nothing. Just a new room, but at least it shut and locked. Awful experience and I tried many times to get help from the people that work for Tropicana. I've been to Vegas at least 45 times and have never had service like this. I have stayed at the Tropicana Vagas a few times. Great service! So when were leaving the valet took about an hour. Yes they charge you $25 plus tip to wait outside in the cold weather for almost an hour to get your car. I won't be staying here again. Nor will I recommend this place to anyone. PS: the rooms are old and dirty and the hallway carpet is disgusting! It's also noisy!

I’ve stayed and visited the trop many times. I’ve previously stayed in the Havana & West towers. This was my first time staying in the South tower. It was a decent room for the amount I paid. I booked an ocean view, and the room did differ from the picture on the website, which is expected. It looked like the room might have been renovated within the past 5 or so years. It seemed to be a pretty cheap renovation. The door to the hotel room had a very dated locking system with handle and a crappy little chain lock. Instead of molding on the floorboards there was unmatched carpeting on the wall, which I have never seen before. The windows were filthy. They looked like they haven’t been cleaned in over a decade. It was so disappointing to look out the window. They need to hire window washers or install new windows ASAP! The TV set up was really weird, and very far away from the bed. The picture wasn’t clear either. The indoor pool was so small and it was basically like a crater in the middle of a small room. Mattresses and pillows were really terrible. The elevators need to be upgraded desperately! There was this hard, metal, bump under the carpet in the middle of the floor (room 1569) that I kept hitting my toe on. It was almost like a metal cover on an old switch plate that they just carpeted over. Aside from the aesthetics, it was clean, and we had a great time! Tropicana never disappoints! Check in was seamless! The staff was so friendly! I started using the kiosk to check out and one of the staff members called me over to the front desk and said it would be faster, which I thought was very nice. The security in and around the casino was top notch! There were so many guards patrolling and I felt extremely safe. They did have a poker bar where if you have a card you can play poker and get comped drinks, but there was a sign and the bartender made certain to tell us the comped drinks only apply to “certain” card holders. Which I thought was weird since 5 feet away we can get a comped drink while gambling no matter what card you have! The tables had a pretty high minimum of $25 which was annoying and took the fun out of playing and spending more time at the tables.

Just amazed at the lack of any kind of caring or responsibility. As a long time Caesar's Reward member who had not been to Atlantic City in 3 years because of Covid I would think we would have been treated much better. It started with not being able to check in with the self-checkin kiosk and having to wait a couple of hours until a manager could get us our room. We originally noticed a wet spot on the wood floor on one side of the bed but just figured that it was not dried after cleaning. When we came back at night we realized that stepping on the floor on either side of the bed water would come up so we had to enter and leave the bed from the foot of the bed. We did not call then because we just wanted to go to sleep. The kicker was when we looked at our bill before we checked out. There was a charge of $582 from the Palm Restaurant. As we did not eat at the Palm just assumed that this would be reversed. I was wrong. The hotel told us that we needed to go to the Palm to have it corrected like it was our responsibility and we needed to wait until 5pm until the Palm opened. As for the water coming up from the floor of our room there was no concern at all. The Palm found the issue and apologized and told us the hotel manager would see us. After going back to the front desk we had to wait 10 minutes for a printed copy of our bill but no manager and no electronic copy of the bill. They charged our credit card for this dinner but we ended up waiting 5 days before we saw the credit for it. I failed to mention that we also needed to wait 15 minutes for the elevator to leave and decided to go up to the top floor so we could get in on the way down. I filled out the survey they sent but I doubt I will ever hear anything back.

My Sorority sisters and I stayed at the Tropicana from January 13-15th for a conference. Our room was located on the 20th floor of the Chelsea Tower. It was an experience out of Stephen King "The Shining." The room was horrible with visible water damage to the walls w/ warped wallpaper and mold on the ceiling. There was no microwave in the room and the phone didn't work at all. There appeared to be only one consistantly working elevator in the tower. I spoke to a housekeeping supervisor who happened to be present in the tower addressing another rooms concern and she agreed to send someone up. No one came! We went to the front desk and they agreed to send a manager up. Instead a housekeeper came and took photos. She also spoke to someone via cell phone. Needless to say, no one came back and/or provided any effort to relieve the situation or move us. I am extremely disappointed and will not recommend the Tropicana to anyone.

We stayed over weekend at Chealse tower, here is my feedback: 1. Chealse tower - if you want to experience how hotel room looked in 1970s that perfect place to stay. Room outdated , old, hallway disgusting, 2 out of 3 lifts not working, totally disaster. 1 star 2. Check out - it took as 30 minutes waiting for the lift, because as I mentioned only one worked. We were party of 4, 2 of us needed take stairs. Then another wait for lift to parking ( that one was quicker) and then 15 minutes wait in line in the car to leave the property. Worst experience ever. 0 stars Bathrooms close to Chealse tower, closed, escalator going down out of service, 2 out of 3 lifts not working. If you can’t maintain the property just shut down the tower. I will never stay in this property again, there are many other options in AC
