Adored the property - it is convenient to Tayrona park, romantic and rustic (no AC or hot water, just crashing waves and mosquito nets), and meals were delicious (dinner and breakfast included). We were in the cabana, which is right on the beach and our ocean-facing room had an incredible view. I've docked a star for sub-par service, however. It...

Really an awesome place. Worth the trip. We stayed in the Maloka with a view of the ocean. Great views, great food and the staff was friendly and helpful. Leave your phone at home, bring a book, and Finca Barlavento is the perfect place to relax.

This place would be perfect for some people, but probably awful for some. The setting cannot be topped. The house is situated right on the beach, with the waves literally crashing under the deck. On the other side of the house is a river and Parque Tayrona, so that 3 sides of the house are surrounded by water. It is...

As advertised in the guidebook, quite possibly the nicest location in Colombia! From booking through to departure the staff at Barlovento were helpful and quick to answer any questions or concerns we had. The view and location is stunning. If you are thinking of going then look no further, this pace has it all. From excellent food, stunning views and...

This is like heaven on earth, and you will have a hard time finding similar. We stayed at the open rooms on top of the building, and it feels like heaven! The first night the sound of the waves made it a little bit hard to sleep, so if you have a hard time sleeping if it's not quiet, earplugs...

Book it without a second thought. This might be the best place I've ever been. the view from my room was breathtakingly beautiful. The facilities are perfect and the staff are friendly. Food was delicious and there was actually good wifi available.

I am in love with this place! I stayed one night in Maloka and one night in the cabaña, and they were both just incredible. I would say Maloka is more comfortable, more modern, the cabaña is a very unique experience, but rustic. It is also easier to socialize at Maloka if you happen to get lucky with the most...

I stayed in Finca Barlovento for three nights and it was a surreal experience to say the least. I stayed in the Cabanas, the highest one where you walk up and see the roaring ocean right below you. The cabins are open and you hear the waves 24/7. On one side you see the beauty of the beach and the...

The Barlovento cabin is a wonderful experience. Open air and directly above the ocean. Breakfast and dinner is included in the price and is very good. One point to note is that it is quite noisy as the waves crash directly in front of the cabin. It takes some getting used to. Also, the bedding is very old. It is...

We stayed in Maloka next to the original Simon Velez designed spectacular Cabana. Mainly to get a good night's sleep (waves can be very loud!) but perhaps we shouldnt have been so wimpy. The Maloka was great though (make sure to get a river view) and you can still visit the Cabana. Food was some of the best we had...

The Cabaña hangs on a cliff over the beach and ocean. It has been featured in documentaries, tv and magazines such as Maison Marie Claire french edition. Maloka has lovely views to the river and sea or the jungle, its quieter than the cabaña and the rooms are spacious and with a private bathroom.
