Clean, comfortable and in the safe part of Santa Marta. The staff are friendly and helpful (don't speak English) and let us store our bags for free. The breakfast (not included) was delicious and would recommend the iced coffee! The internet only worked in reception, with the Extended Network not working at all. So don't stay here if you want...

I was pleased with everything! Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, nice rooms and the owner Patrick knows many unique places in the region. Furthermore, you have different options for breakfast in the lovely cafe and there is a rooftop where you can enjoy the sun. Next time in Santa Marta I will come back!

Clean, safe and friendly place in the center of the city. Calm neighbourhood and walking distance to most sights in Santa Marta. The rooms are well equipped and the staff helpful with local advices. You can get breakfast on-site at the cafe and there are some good options. Nice terrace on the roof with kitchen. Perfect for a beer at...

My recent stay at Aluna was very, very enjoyable and I'd recommend it for single travellers who are not rich but neither on a pauper's budget. The folks are wonderfully helpful in assisting in making arrangements. It's a well-maintained and clean place just off the main drag of SM. Easy walking to all the attractions. I didn't eat there but...

We've been in Casa Aluna for many days and were so happy we chose this. The hostel has all the facilities and is very clean and comfotable. At one point I got sick and the staff was so kind and helped out a lot. Also, they helped us book trips, they know everything there is to know about Santa Marta...

Hostel is nice and very clean. Location is good and the staff is very helpfull and friendly. We stayed in the dorm which was nice but needs some improvement. The poweroutlets are only available from the lowest bunks, one of the lockers for the luggage was broken and unusable and another was very hard to open and close. The wifi...

a very clean, new and well done hostel just a little bit out of the city center. Not the kind of hostel to do parties, but perfect to relax and recharge energies. I had a double room with private bathroom (just cold water like every hostel) for 115 COP, not the cheapest solution in town, but it was like an...

Stayed at Aluna for 2 nights. Left my bag in their locked bag storage while I went camping for one night. My passport was hidden in the bag. After camping, I stayed one more night at Aluna and then headed off to Cartagena in the morning (I didn't open my bag). It was only when I got to Cartagena and...

Very sorry to her that your passport was missing but by your own admission you only discovered this when you arrived in Cartagena which is at least one bus journey and 6 hours later from the time you left Aluna. As you may not be able to appreciate we in Aluna can not be held responsible for any guests belongings...

I had a great sleep in this hostel, but one thing that really disapointed me is that the internet didn´t work properly on the second floor, in my room. When I wanted connection I had to go down to the common area. In my room there was one fan.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in Aluna on 5 separate occasions over a couple of weeks. It is an excellent base for visiting the many surrounding attractions. El jefe Jim, and his amazing staff made the place feel like home, especially the ever friendly Hidalgo (not certain of spelling) and Julio. Great location, onsite cafe, roof terrace, kitchen. We'd love...
