Hacienda San Jose is a fabulous location - every moment I spent there I enjoyed the ambience. It is a special and privilege to stay there. It really feels like you are staying in someone's country house. I would unhesitatingly go back. Bedrooms were beautifully decorated. One small gripe - dinner and lunch were great but breakfast was a little...

The sort of hotel you dream of. Ok there are negatives but just to be in such wonderful surroundings with all the quaint touches and a bonus, for a birdie like me, is to be able to sit outside your room and have a procession of colourful birds pass by. Just here for a few days whilst on a tour.

We stayed here for 2 nights while touring the coffee growing region. Comfortable rooms with limited amenities. Excellent dining in a covered outdoor setting. A wide variety of offerings for both breakfast and dinner. Gracious hosts and wonderful staff - special mention to Mayra at reception! A bit isolated from other centres, especially if wanting to go out in the...

The extensive grounds and buildings are extremely attractive. There are many places to sit in sun or shade and the grounds are full of beautiful trees and shrubs. The hacienda is wonderfully styled with antiques, ornaments, pictures and plants, all assembled and displayed with great imagination. The dining pavilion is roofed but open at the sides. As other reviewers have...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during a tour of the coffee region. The buildings and the surrounding grounds are beautiful and an ideal place in which to relax. It's a little bit remote, which makes it difficult to eat at other locations without a car. Having said that the quality of the food at the hotel...

Stayed there for two nights with friends and children. We had a great time. Breakfast was delicious. Our kids had a blast playing around. We enjoyed hanging out next to the pool with drinks. Totally recommend it.

Sadly a big disappointment. Billed as a boutique hotel, but didn't justify the description. Hospitality was almost non existent, and the food & drink very basic. The hotel is under the flight path to Pereira airport. Room (ground floor) dark with rustique furniture and lacking in facilities. Wifi didn't work in room although ok in dining/pool area. Appeared to need...

We stayed for 3 nights during our visit to the coffee-growing area of Colombia and truly enjoyed our stay. This is a former coffee hacienda, converted into a small boutique hotel, outside of Pereira and somewhat difficult to get to--but well worth the journey. It is maintained to look like an older hacienda, with lovely touches. Rooms are comfortable, service...

By far the best place so far in our Colombia trip. Most friendly and accommodating staff and the property is well kept and nicely decorated with lots of artifacts. The new additions blend in well with the old Hacienda building kept in the same family for 5 generations. Sure pla've to come back to.

Lucky enough to have a suite, super large bedrooms , full of character and a comfortable bed. Only minor problem the leaking bath plug. Food simple but good, service excellent .Staff, wonderful especially Pilar Wonderful ambience even taking into account the flight path over the hotel. It was a great stay and would come again
