We stayed at Centro Hotel for 4 nights. It is the best location you can find! It is right in the walled city next to many of the boutique hotels which cost 5x the price. We paid $70 USD per night. The hotel is about a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport. We paid $6USD to get there. Once... More

This is a very nice hotel and the management is very friendly and helpful. I had thought I booked 2 beds in our room but mistakenly booked only 1 a few months back. The manager accommodated us by moving an extra bed in our room. Not too many hotels would go out of their way like that. After a 5... More

I just completed an 8 night stay at the Centro Hotel in Cartagena. Let me say right at the top that l would definitely stay here again. It was exactly what I was looking for and expected. Reviewer Carolyn C before me below is right on with her comments so no need to repeat. I will add that the air... More

Ideal location right in the centre of old town, with a cool coffee shop at the main floor entrance! Up the grand staircase to reception and rooms are located around the perimeter of the courtyard, with lovely palm trees and gardens softening the look. Very friend staff, and very helpful senior at the front desk....always full of information, tour connections... More

We were a bit puzzled by the TripAdvisor scores for this hotel. We stayed there for Christmas. We chose it because we were looking for an historic property in the Old town that didn't cost a fortune at such a busy time. Most of the historic properties are beautiful but pretty expensive. We found the Centro was exactly what we... More

The centro hotel is really right in the center for the old town, conveniently located for everything. It is very elegant with an indoor patio and old wooden tiles. First I stayed in room nr 219 which has no window and is where the breakfast is served. They start early around 6am and due to light sleep I asked for... More

The hotel was ok considering the money we paid. We prepaid with Travelocity so there was some confusion at the hotel about payment. I had to provide proof of payment to Travelocity and then let them sort it out. The hotel was clean and safe-2 big issues I have when staying at a hotel. However the television never worked and... Worthy of every single dollar !!! Very colonial type of hotel so if you are more for more modern type you won't like it . !!!! Very affordable in the middle of the wall city, everything is a walking distance , safe area . Hard rock bar close by if you feeling homesick. The staff very helpful !!!

The rooms are small and windowless, and the shower doesn't have hot water (something I'm told is common in towns on the coast) but the people working there couldn't be nicer. Great breakfasts, comfortable lounge area, free wi-fi, excellent air-conditioning (a must in sweltering Cartagena) and a price that's significantly lower than other hotels in the area. I would recommend... More

First visit to Cartagena. Knew we wanted to stay in the old walled city and Centro Hotel fit all our criteria: excellent location, great price, close to attractions within the old city. The front door porter kept us from getting ripped off by the taxi driver from the airport--which led to an argument between them that we were happy to... More
