Bad things: old, very crowded, bad maintained, several cockroaches, small pool always in shade,
Good things: well located 20 min nice walk from historic town , all food included

Cartagena is safe to just walk around in the old city. Do your research on Emeralds so you know what to buy they ate good prices lot cheaper than here.The tour to Baru I have not been I understand that the boat ride going over is calm but on the return is a little rough.Youcsn take a tour to the mud volcano that is neet in the mud.lots of good restaurants wine is quite expensive but the steaks are great at Polo Dearborn or Dandies lots of new places opening just go and explore you will go back as I have you can walk down Backahernde at nightlight no problem just go have fun your not stuck on a resort.
