The staff was unfriendly. The restaurant food is subpar. Everytime we called room service they took 2-3 hours to get there. When we booked the room We asked that a quiet room was our main concern as we like to sleep in. we got the in the second floor next to kitchen and the lobby remodeling outside. The construction noise...

Traveling with my wife and two young kids on a week long getaway. Property had some construction for maintenance but planned so that it didn't bother anyone... charming to say the least and the service was just fine. Attentive but not intrusive. All requests were tended to in a reasonable amount of time with a smile. Late checkout wasn't an...

This hotel is wonderfully positioned within the walled town of Cartenega. From the outside it is stunning and when you walk in through the huge entrance is becomes even more impressive. Throughout my stay here the staff were very helpful from the lobby to the roof top bar. My room was superb, clean, comfortable and well appointed and in there...

This hotel was actually the former convent of Carmelite, the nuns built it in the 17th century. There are many beautiful religious statues and relics displayed throughout the hotel. The room was spacious, well decorated and comfortable, bathroom was updated and modern with good water pressure. The roof top pool has amazing views of the city and lovely cabanas with...

On a recent trip to Cartagena I was walking around the city as most tourists would do and came across this hotel which was flying the Leading Hotels of the World flag outside. I was dressed entirely respectably and should not have been cause for any security concern. As someone generally interested in visiting hotels especially historic ones I decided...

The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was world class. Staff is friendly. The reception area was under construction. The only restaurant is by the terrace pool. It was very hot and humid, location is good. The pool has a wonderful view of the city. It is better to stay in a boutique hotel.

The historic feel is strong in the public areas. The location is superb as one can walk to any number of points of interest. The rooms are simply sumptuous. Prices are quite high. Recommended for those who like heritage buildings - this one was formerly a convent. Worth a drink or dinner even if not staying overnight.

This is a beautiful hotel with the most amazing floral arrangements located just inside the wall around Cartagena with a view of the ocean (from the 4th floor rooms). The open air inner courtyard just past the very comfortable overstuffed chairs in the lobby is a great place to wait for colleagues. Check in was accompanied by a knock at...

A few years back, I wrote a very positive review of this hotel. Overall I would still agree: the location is perfect: inside the walled city, quite close to the conference center and the increasing fashionable Getsimani district outside the traditional core of the old town; and the hotel itself simply breaths tropical elegance. Beds were excellent, the rolling blinds...
