I had a great experience at El Viajero! Andres was very helpful with my check in and with any questions I had about the area. Also Kelly was awesome with providing me with information on the day trips!

The hostel is great fun: lots of open space filled with opportunities to make friends. There's a bar and dance lessons which always engage people. Kelly did a great job checking me in and Gina was great in recommending places and trips to take while there.

Staff is nice, helpfull and kind, Andres was really useful for my requirements and i am thanksful for this... The hostel is clean, and very comfortable rooms...

Although the hostel is well located and looks nice at first sight, the price for a night is too high. I payed €19 for a night, but for that price I would like a better kitchen (especially the kitchenware: the big knifes to cut vegetables or meat with were all blunt or broken). And especially: there was no good vibe....

Great hostel! Very well located inside of the old city, walking distance to cheap and more fancy restaurants. Good vibe on the common area, some days they offer salsa classes for free and invite everyone to join. Clean dorms, old furniture but nothing that can ruin the trip. Good wifi only in the common area, doesn't work on the dorms....

Though they do try to create a nice atmosphere with salsa nights this hostel just lacks that. The beds are not as comfortable as one would expect for the steep price. Furthermore be wary when ordering at the bar, as personnel does skim a little of the top when returning your change.

Thanks for your comment......yes, we have salsa nights, game nights, outdoor BBQs, Cinema Nights, we take our guets out to party every tuesday....Im really sorry that is lacking atmosphere. If you want a hard core party hostel El Viajero is NOT. Also its the first time anyone has accused our barman of skimming, I'm sure that if it happened it...

Fun hostel with great amenities in the perfect location. The rooms were a good size and the bar was always lively and easy to meet fellow travellers (we were there over new years though). The only negative for me was the staff at the front desk. They never appeared happy or helpful - the first day we got there after...

This hostel was okay.. it had both positive and negatives. My private room was spacious (with air conditioning) however there is no hot water in this hostel. It is in a great location, in the heart of old town Cartagena. They have a chill out area outside - although very hot during the middle of the day and could do...
