The location of the hotel was excellent. The two front desk guys, Andres and Aquiles ended up being our friends. Super helpful, always smiling and funny. The room we got was very spacious and nice. Everything was clean and nice... the only things that could and should improve are the lighting. There were no reading lights in the rooms. And...

The fact that the property has no hot water is not a problem. Cartagena is uncomfortably hot and humid, so the warm water that comes out of the tap is actually quite refreshing (and I enjoy hot showers at home!). The hotel is very basic though: a step up from a hostel. You get a bed, a washroom, breakfast and...

We stayed for a couple of nights in this great little hotel. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Getsamani (backpacker area). I must note that we are backpackers so if that is not your scene, you may not like this area. Nice rooftop pool area and sun bathing deck. Friendly reception staff that helped by phoning and...

After two nights here I can only say: stay somewhere else. Use a hotel in the old town to experience the special atmosphere there, especially in the evening. This old hotel is located in an unsafe area of Cartagena and why would you take that risk. The room is small, you are lucky if you have a window. The room...

I was very tired from travelling when arrived at villa colonial, so anything would have been good. Rooms have everything you need but are pretty basic. Not sure about price comparison in area but thought room was a bit pricey for what you get. There were many communal areas including a roof top terrace where breakfast was served. Wi fi...

The hotel is well located in Getsemani, walking distance to Cartagena's captivating old town. The room fell short of the standard I was expecting for what was a reasonable price in Colombia. The air conditioning unit was noisy, and the decoration bland. Charming and helpful day staff were offset by rude and unaccommodating night staff. Breakfast is also not served...

Although I can't be 100% sure, all signs point to someone with access to my room entered and lifted $500 EU. Other than that the place was nice enough. I didn't realize the money was missing until I was in another country. I called the hotel and they claimed to have checked the security cameras. They said nobody entered the...

Two friends and myself enjoyed staying here (in relative quiet) and walking around the old city. We also got to enjoy the party scene, but then go back to our hotel and actually get some sleep. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and adequate for our needs.

Stayed here 2 nights as start on group tour. Reasonably comfortable. Don't know the rates included in tour. Short walk to the castle & as others have said, breakfast at sister hotel nearby. Staff reasonably helpful. OK stay

I pre-booked this hotel for 2 nights prior to visiting Cartagena. Unfortunately I had a hospital visit through which I couldnt make it to the first night. The staff was very understanding and supportive to postpone my 2 days with a day without asking for a cancellation fee. A point for attention, not every reception staff could speak English. This...
