The room was small but in the very happening location of Getsemani. Lots of nightlife very close and a short walk to the old city. I loved my small single room and the rooftop breakfast area was great. The view was of an abandoned lot and noisy at night. The sheets were clean and the bed comfy. I would have...

Stayed here for one night in the two twin room. Room size not big but there is enough for our luggage, a small desk and a mini fridge. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom and room are modern. Nice cool AC which is great given temperature in Cartagena. It's a beautiful house with plenty resting area and awesome rooftop where they serve...

We arrived to Cartagena around 9pm on an evening where the lights in the entire Getsemani neighborhood had lost power. You could imagine how terrifying it was for two girls traveling alone to be led by candle light into a room with no electricity - meaning no a/c, no lights, no charging phones, and not even a source of air...

We had a very nice stay at Casa Baluarte. The hotel is a charming colonial building decorated with taste. Its location is great, just a few steps away from the old city. It is a very quiet place. The room was quite small but clean and tidy with TV, ceiling fan and air conditioning. The bathroom was tiny but clean...

The location is great - right in the heart of Getsamani. The rates are good, the staff nice, and the included breakfast on the roof top terrace is a great start to the day. Issues - the rooms are incredibly small - there is not even room for your suitcase beside the bed. They have tried to do a modern...

We stayed at Baluarte only for one night. The room is small but we were glad to have A/C in our room! Cartagena is really hot! The staff were really nice and helpful. We had a late flight, and they helped us to store our luggage! The location is good, close to the old city and restaurants.

Actually the name promises a hostel, which is definately not the best description for it. So I went there with my Girlfriend, because Cartagena is supposed to the the romantic city and we wanted a nice private room. We payes each night 108'000 pesos which was a promotion (normally you pay 190'000, but I think they have all the time...

We stayed at another hostel when 1st in Cartegena which was full, so moved a couple of doors down to Casa Baluarte. For 15,000 more for a double room the hotel is a lot lot nicer and much much quieter. Set in an old colonial building which still has lots of the old furniture dotted about the place, the rooms...

Good location just outside the walled city. Clean, quiet, and well run. Staff was very helpful and professional. I had a private room with a nice private bathroom and air conditioning. Size of room was small by American standards but more than adequate. The cost was about $50/night. Safe. Good breakfast. Wifi was shaky in the room but fine in...
