We stayed for two nights in the Hotel Marlin in Cartagena. The hotel is central and close to tons of restaurants. The first night we had a room on the ground floor, very close to the reception. It was THE WORST NIGHT I have ever spent in a hotel. People were predrinking outside our room and screaming in the middle...

Booked double room, average size, bathroom small but sweet. A/C worked a treat as was very hot outside! Staff friendly and absolutely awesome location! Wifi works only downstairs in reception area but good connection. Would recommend :)

Hotel Marlin is a nice two story hostal across the street from Cafe Havana. The staff is friendly, but they do not speak a lot of English. Google translate is a must for anyone not fluent in Spanish. Cartagena is a bit of an anomaly for a South American tourist town. I myself speak a little Spanish, but not enough...

This is a great little hotel. It is very clean, well-managed, and with a friendly staff. It is in a great location. The only disappointment was that the Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby. As I was there for several days it would've been a great convenience to have had Wi-Fi in my room. It is well air-conditioned with...

It's a very simple hotel with great prices. I got a twin room with air conditioning and private bathroom with a almost hostel price. You can walk to San Felipe de Barajas castle or the walled city easily and there's a lot of restaurants and bars around (which means there's a bit of street noise at the night). This was...

The Hotel is not so fancy but really confortable. I got my private double room as per reservation and my 3 days stay there were really good without any complaint. The location is good as is close to the city center and to the nightlife but still calm for sleeping.

We stayed two nights over NYE. Things got off to a bad start as I arrived and was told the hotel didn't have my reservation. I showed booking confirmations, emails, vouchers etc and was told they didn't have it. I don't speak Spanish so it was difficult to do anything/complain. The owner speaks a little English and we were able...

Cold showers and basic accommodation but the price is cheap and the location is good. Don't expect too much from the staff (sometimes friendly and helpful but sometimes uninterested or moody) or from the rooms (basic with A/C available and there appeared to be TVs in most privates but the channels didn't work in the two we stayed in on...

It was a good hotel with good location. Close to old town and close to restaurants. Even if it you could hear everything that happened outside the rooms it got quit pretty early like 11-12. Nice beds and long days walking put us to sleep anyhow😃

Can't say was the best hostel of my life but for the prices they charge you in Cartagena it has been a good option in the heart of the city. I preferred to pay directly by cash and probably it has been a good choice if you know what I mean...
