I stayed here for several days and my friends stayed at other hotels just blocks away for 3-6 times the nightly rate. The San Felipe had larger rooms, an elevator and better service than the hotel that costs $150 per night (which also didn't have hot water and in which my friends hotel room flooded from the air conditioner leaking...

For those that want to take a shower in a civilized manner should not book here. There is no hot water, nor warm water - just cold water. We booked 5 nights in this hotel. The hotel has great location, however, the water situation is not up to par. There are mosquitoes flying around in the room constantly. Once you...

I stayed in this hotel for three nights and very happy about their service. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. One staff walked with me to the outside street to help me get a taxi to the airport. He negotiated the taxi cost with driver first before let me get in. The location is excellent to walk to the...

Two comfortable beds. good air conditioning, in rooms only. No hot water but the tap water is not very cold. Very good breakfast, all you can eat fruit, eggs, bread, juice and coffee. Very helpful front desk manned by Senora Rivera. Walk to stores for all a traveler needs. Five minutes to Cafe Havana.

We stayed for 10 days. The hotel is being renovated but other than the elevator not working our first day, we hardly noticed the workmen & painters. The standard double size beds were basic, but had excellent mattresses & the bedding was nice cool cotton, they changed the sheets & towels each day. The hotel while old has a pleasant...

First and foremost, the AC in the room was a lifesaver. Location was primo, right where you want to be in Getsemani and two blocks from the wall was safe and super convenient. The internet worked fine when it did but did not work every morning. There was construction outside on the street which won't be done anytime soon. Music...

I am at the airport flying back to the US after several days at the San Felipe Hotel. I chose this hotel solely because it was inexpensive and within walking distance of the Historic Center/Walled City. I got so much more than I expected! Although simply furnished (and, as expected, had no hot water. Not a big deal in hot...

Stayed here a few nights with the boyfriend. Its very basic but absolutely fine for what we needed. Clean and spacious room with tv and ensuite shower. The staff are lovely. Very helpful! Breakfast is simple but good enough. There is some work being done inside the hotel and some road works being done on the street outside but this...

I traveled to Cartagena, Colombia, from Oct. 3rd to Oct.10th and stayed at the San Felipe Hotel. Even though this hotel is truly BUDGET in every which way possible, the Colombian owners of this establishment should be ashamed of themselves!! The bed mattress was hard making it difficult to sleep at night, the shower hardly ran any warm water, the...

I have been to so many places and hotel before but I must say this hotel isn't the best although but it's clean, conformable, good air conditioning and the staff is very friendly.
