For a business trip through China, I had one day in Dalian. The Bay Shore Hotel, with the marvelous view over the sea, the bridge with the colored lights, and very nice room, is really a nice place to be. You can have the nice view from inside the shower! The breakfast in the panoramic restaurant, is very good; more...

I stayed at Bayshore hotel as a guest of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, who seem to have a deal with them (my hosts called it their "campus hotel" - which may be a bit of an exaggeration). The hotel is super nicely located at the waterfront, and close (walking distance) to the main downtown area of Dalian. When...

For Chinese standards, Dalian is a small city in the northeastern-most part of the country, a swim away for the west coast of Korea, and an hour’s flight from Beijing. Few Europeans or North Americans would know it, unless for a reason. And although the city is not the showcase of what the Chinese have achieved in the past few...

Stayed here for a day on a business trip. The good things are the location within walking distance of Xinghai Square, the rooms which are large and well equipped, the breakfast spread, the staff at the reception are quite competent and speak and understand English reasonably well. The not so good things are the air conditioning, and trying to order...

Reasonable hotel with international standards and a nice view on the bay and the little amusement park in front of it. Depending on traffic conditions approx 30 minutes away from the central district. Mostly Chinese guests; service is ok, but not spectacular; interior has come a little bit into the years.

This hotel is outside the central district, right next to a marina and extensive fun fair. It maintains a good international hotel standard, clean, comfortable, many of the staff speak English. The rooms are well laid out with the usual range of facilies And mini bar. We arrived late from a delayed flight, the taxi fare from the airport was...

Upon my arrival, the room was 27C. I tried to turn on the ac instead, but I guess the hotel only keeps the heater on in the winter, obviously 'cause it would just blow hot air. So, I opened up the window and let fresh air in throughout the week I spent here. The toilet always seemed to have an...

We spend 4 week in Bay Shore in January 2014. General condition of Hotel is OK. Good location. Very friendly staff but like everywhere in China english is not so fluent. Our biggest problem was temperature. In first room temperature was +31 degree of Celsius and even we keep window open all the time it was still over 30. There...

We were there in for nearly a week. We had a large suite on the 11th floor. Comfortable arrangement of rooms and a great view of the Yellow Sea. Staff were pleasant and eager to be helpful. The breakfast buffet was elaborate so plenty of variety for Asian and Western tastes. Improvements would be : clean windows on 25th floor...

Good Hotel. Located pretty centrally, the Bay Shore offers you the flexibility of easy travel to the Hi Tech Industrial area for work and yet is adequately central to go out in the evening. The room that I am staying in is well appointed and comfortable. Wifi is available though it tends to break down in signal sometimes. They have...
