Pros · Ada at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Otherwise what we liked most was checking out... Cons · - Moulds everywhere you look. - Dirty carpets full of stains. - Breathing problems after staying inside this building for just 1 hour. - Itching after sleeping in the beds. - Food - Several cockroaches, even on the 8th (renovated) floor and even in the bed. We had the impression that renovation simply meant making a lot of noise from 8 to 20h and hiding moulds behind wall paper and fresh layers of paint. - Attitude of some of the night staff. When we first reported the moulds the arrogant answer we received was that the hotel was 10 years old, as if it were normal in a 10 year-old hotel. The management should close down the entire hotel until it is fully renovated.
I think the room is too dark, super dark. We book 2 night with breakfast. It might take time to find where to have breakfast. There are very few kind of food served :( Staff does not allow me to take pictures, the first hotel I have visit. We are only 1 room there, then 1 staff come to eat and talk to waitresses, then another staff come to eat, they all talked together with the distance across the room, the the other came to eat, hopefully he is guy so he did not chat too much. When we arrived, the staff know what room we are before we told her, I am not sure it was because there was very feel guest have breakfast or they are very good staff. It was difficult to find fitness to luckily I met housekeeping there, she need to go downstairs to get the key, after a while I found that Fitness room has 2 machine with dumbbell! so I go back and stay in the room. However, I like the room, only in the room; room size, bed, bathroom, oh not the light super dark. I asked to change my reservation not to include and ask hotel 'if possible' to return money for breakfast, this is horrible, not say not allow but say will ask and ask 3 shift until the other day afternoon.…
To me this was great hotel option, but with some limitations that relate to it being a value oriented hotel. The interior look is a bit dated (the design theme), and breakfast selection limited, and hotel services not extensive. The location is good, close to the Lao Jie MTR subway station, and near one of the food street areas (Dongmen food street), with other local foods options around. It's also close to a shopping area, with a department store and lots of gift shops or shoe shops and such. All the trade-offs really worked. My wife is mostly concerned that hotels look well-maintained, and bathrooms are functional and very clean, and it matched up with all that. After spending time in Hong Kong the room felt really spacious, good sized as hotel rooms everywhere go, but more than double the typical size of those there.…
I was here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It is in an amazing location, literally on top of a major shopping area and very close to the metro. Ar R750 a night +/- $50 its a bargain. The hotel does have a slightly moldy niff to it but put it down to the climate. The room was clean, the shower pressure strong, the wifi fair and the bed great.
This hotel is centrally located in the shopping area of Shenzhen and close to Lao Jie MTR. It is 4 star hotel but hardly anyone speak English except Tom at reception, who always help me to find things. The lobby is small & the corridor is bit dark to my liking but get used to it after few day. The deluxe room is large and comfortable with all modern conv. except the towels need some replacement. All room facilities as in good hotels are available here including, internet, kettle, toilettries, safe deposit, bathrobe, sandals, cable tv, etc. Definately will recommend this hotel if your aim coming here is to shop as all shops are very much next door.
I am writing this review to warn others of booking a room at a corner at level 4. My unit is 402. The time now is 3:30am and I was woken up by the loud conversation from behind my bedroom door. I called to have them check only to realise it belongs to a office which the hotel rented out. The staff told me he cannot do anything. The first 4 notes were ok but not on Monday night. I also found a medium size cockroach at the toilet. I can smell cigarettes from the aircon vent. . I suspect the office has night shift. I really regret staying here so avoid at all cost. Only consolation is that Location is good.
No doubt that this ZTL Hotel has a very strategic location.. The famous Dongmen Pedestrian Street is only a few blocks away.. Only few steps from Laojie Metro St (Exit B) and there are many restaurants nearby as well.. ah and a 7-11 right beside the hotel entrance.. The room was okay enough, it was very clean even though some furniture was in need of replacement.. But for the price I paid, it was beyond my expectation.. I recommend this hotel to everyone who come to Shenzhen and want to stay close to Dongmen and Luohu..
Stayed here with my family (booked 2 rooms) mainly for the price and location. Pros - Huge room with comfortable beds - Relatively quiet floors - Cheap pricing compared to other hotels in the vicinity - great location! Just round the corner to 老街 with loads of food and shopping options! Cons - hotel is jaded. Can be seen from the old interiors and peeling wallpaper - Very dim room lights. - occasional cigarette smell from other patrons even though it is a non smoking floor (personally saw someone smoke while waiting for the lift to head down) Otherwise the experience was still quite good and I might still stay here if comimg back.
It’s in a very good location it used to be a former Days INN Hotel but now it’s taken over by a Chinese management, the carpet in the room stinks other than that it’s in a quite good location for shopping and my restaurants a round , hotel Staff our quite friendly
Besides the main point of being close to Lao Jie MRT as well as walking distance to shopping mall and whole street of shopping and F&B options including distributor buildings...the hotel itself is not great. When we check-in at 4pm, the room is not ready. We sit inside the room to see the housekeeper do her job. The toilet is forever spreading a foul smell. At least the WiFi and aircon work. Wont recommend for those who treasure cleanliness and service.
