It was our 2nd time staying in the hotel, the first being in Dec 2017. We returned because of the shopping and eateries options nearby, as well as closeness to the subway station. Need to pay RMB 400 as deposit for the accommodation. When we tried to borrow an umbrella as it was raining outside, we were asked to pay RMB 50 as deposit. Front desk staff were cold and robotic when dealing with guests just like our previous stay. It really does help make guests feel welcome with just a simple smile or a friendly nod - all these lacking of the staff. Hotel provides free wifi but the connection is usually unstable! Have to ask for replenishment of Bath soap and toilet paper a few times during our 4 nights stay. Cleaners probably overlooked every time, and only replenish a small amount

We were a group of 9 people staying in 4 rooms in this hotel. Our room was number 730....the room the hotel forgot to clean. The carpet was filthy. You could actually see dirt on it. Clothes tags on floor from previous guests. The area in the corners of the room had not been cleaned in a long time. The mattress on the bed was very hard. The towels were threadbare and yellow coloured...although these improved on the second night. Because of the shape of our room the wardrobe was squeezed in to a corner. You could probably hang baby sized clothes in it. Because of the dirt in the room we left all of our stuff in our suitcases, we felt it cleaner to do this. We were not given any complimentary water. We stayed for two grim nights here. Our other family members seemed to fare better with their rooms. Maybe room 730 at the end of the corridor on the top floor is the room that staff have no energy left to clean. Absolutely awful.

Despite the motel in the title, this is actually a four star hotel. Rather comfortable with eating and shopping options nearby. This is not too far from the subway station. Some of the staff seem too keen to get you to take their private transport despite the easy availability of public transport.

The hotel is well located and the rooms are really nice for the price. We had 2 adults and 3 kids 2x11 and 1x8 year old. We fit in the quadruple room very easily. The rooms are nice and clean although they still allow smoking inside in the lobby and the rooms and hallways. Train station is across the rd in the shopping mall. It advertises with a pool but there is definitely no pool.

It has been a while since I stayed and I meant to review this hotel on departure but didn't get a chance till now.It was 1stly very easy to find after crossing the border into China whereby it was then only a short taxi drive. The reception though they couldn't really understand my English was simple and I made a friend of the bellboy who over a period of 8 days was very helpful .The location was central to everywhere i wanted to go in Shenzhen and at night it was only a safe short walk to eating facilities .The WiFi was great in my opinion and the computer in the room was a bonus.I dont know if they still offer this but when i return soon id like to stay with the Kalli hotel again

I have stayed here many times over the years. It is a 15 minute walk from the train station and boarder crossing. It is very convenient for anyone entering China and planning to continue their journey into China. There is a new MRT (subway) system that give access to many areas of the city including the airport. It's also not that expensive catching a bus or taxi to the airport. From the hotel it's a 5 minute walk to Shenzhens famous "walking street" with lots of shopping. There is a Walmart about 5 minutes away plus lots of food choices. The front desk staff are not perfect at English, but better than normal for this class of hotel in China. They not only provide WiFi but each room is also equiped with a computer.

Outstanding location steps from the Guo Mao metro. Staff is friendly and attentive. Most don't speak English but there is usually someone around on the staff who can translate. The rooms are very dated and worn in appearance. Cleaning staff did a so-so job. Chinese channels only on the TV. Wireless slow but reliable. Good value for money, but keep your expectations low.

the room is comfortable. we stayed in a triple room and the daily room cleaning is prompt and good. Concierge service was good too, helping us to arrange for the cab back to airport on our last day of stay. the hotel is only 3 minutes away from the shopping mall (with cineplex! and lots of yummy food choices - restaurants, cafes - and supermarket), and same 3 minutes to Guomao mtr station. by foot, the hotel is just 20 minutes away from Laojie, which is not that hard to navigate after you've been familiarized with the district. Really very good stay, and it made our holiday in Shenzhen a memorable one.

We booked this hotel in booking because it was a 4 star hotel, but honesty speaking it is an old hotel and might be 3 stars, they offer free sauna and pool but we went there and we cannot use it because the water was cold. We asked for a non smoking room and even that they gave us a room in the 7 floor that is non smoking where people smoking next to us and we asked to change us to another room because we cannot stand the smell. The only good thing is that it's close to the shopping area. We are very disappointed and feel cheated.
