The attitude of the attendant is very good especially in lounge and food studio, thanks to Betty and Demi provide very thoughtful and enthusiastic service. I feel very warm and comfortable here, nice experience!
My stays at Renaissance Shenzhen Luohu were exceptional. The staffs are super friendly and always willing to go above and beyond, especially the beautiful Lucy and others at Club Lounge who have been greatly helpful to me, giving me extraordinary experiences, from a warm welcome to helping me meet some business needs. It's in a great location, adjacent to the Metro, shopping centers, and tons of restaurants. The food on the property is great as well, and there is a very nice variety to choose from. The room is beautifully appointed and the condition of the room is fantastic. Overall, the stays were super relaxing, and I’ll definitely be back in the future whenever possible.
Many thanks to Susan, Abi and Lucy. They gave me lots of help when I was travelling alone. Very hospitable! This is my first time staying here, but now I guess I'd like to try another time. Perhaps with my friends :)
I have stayed at this hotel for over 50 nights. This Renaissance Hotel has been a member of the Marriott group for two years already. I'm very impressed by the quality of service and the excellent design of its hotel suites. I feel like it is my home away from home. Special thanks to the service from the club lounge team members... Abi, Ada, Lucy, and Kingsley. Keep up the good teamwork. Best Regards, A lifetime Marriott Platinum member
With the borders still closed and facing a long eight-day national holiday I decided to try out a few Bonvoy hotels. It’s always important to judge hotels in context and for the Renaissance Shenzhen Luohu the important considerations are location and price. I paid less than RMB700 for the night placing it second cheapest (after the Four Points) in Shenzhen but the cheapest with a proper lounge service for elites. It’s a short walk from a few nearest metros and the border shopping areas but there’s not much on the immediate doorstep for foreigners so you’d have to go the short journey to Futian for that. It’s not going to be the obvious hotel for foreigners visiting Shenzhen and I was the only foreigner I saw in the hotel and its surroundings. The hotel is a completely refurbished old Chinese hotel that reopened as the Renaissance last year. All the rooms and common areas were clearly gutted and rebuilt so for all intents and purposes this is a new hotel. There are a few signs of its ancient origins if you go looking. The wood in the lifts looked old and behind the scenes on the way to the gym and swimming pool have clearly not been touched. Check in was great at a very friendly front desk and as a Titanium elite I was upgraded to a suite. Very nice and everything is clearly new. Coffee was instant but you cannot have Nespresso everywhere. I did have thoughts of spending the afternoon in the sun by the pool but (a) it was closed and looks like it hasn’t yet been refurbished and (b) it’s small and not able to get the sun anyway. The Sheraton in Futian has a better pool area for sunbathing. The gym was also old and not up to brand standards. The lounge is a lovely, large, space on the 2nd floor with a lot of light and multiple different areas to sit in. It’s open from 3pm-8.30pm with food and booze for two hours from 5.30pm. For the price, the lounge food in the evening was fine and could make a meal but it is not as extensive a buffet as the Sheraton Futian lounge. Plenty of people, though, clearly making it their main meal of the day as I did though it did feel like the catering was designed to hit a fairly low price point. But, again, the staff here were great and helpful. Breakfast is served in the main buffet and it was a decent buffet of local and Western foods though, again, significantly smaller than the Sheraton. I found myself comparing the Renaissance to the Sheraton quite a lot and had to remind myself that it is two thirds of the price. The brand positioning of Renaissance within the Bonvoy portfolio continues to confuse me as I find little to connect its hotels. Based on my experience elsewhere in Asia, this refurbished hotel should be a Courtyard by Marriott as I’ve had identical (good) experiences with similar suites, lounges, and breakfasts at Courtyards in Sha Tin, Iloilo, and Taipei whereas nothing really connected this hotel to other Renaissances I’ve stayed at. But, considering the price and location, this is a good value hotel with excellent staff and for elites you cannot really go wrong.…
It’s my second time to stay with renaissance, good location and just next to the mall and metro station. Front office stuff are friendly and upgrade my room , breakfast is improved and have more selection now. Had a comfortable stay and will come back next time.
The hotel was a bit hard to find because there are some signs with the old hotel name (Hotel Panglin). The check in process was easy and the staff spoke very good English, which is sometimes rare in Shenzhen. The room was clean and modern and didn't smell of cigarettes on our non-smoking floor. The location is quite close to a train station and you can easily walk to Dongmen Pedestrian Street. I would recommend it is you are looking for a simple affordable hotel to stay for a night or two.
Located near Guomao station with food and shops around, very convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. The price is reasonable considering the location. Recommend for either business or pleasure.
The hotel is only one subway station away from Luohu border. There are malls along the road with shopping and food around. The staff are friendly. I visited the lounge which may need a bit of improvement on food and drink selection. Overall, very convenient and neat hotel.
We are happy to have the service and let us enjoy our limited time while celebrating our special occasion! Thank you for the staff to help us to give an upgrade with nice room set up and me to regain my health again while i am not feeling good, by providing arrangements.
