Arrived late from HK Airport by ferry and stayed one night in this hotel. Everything was OK. Breakfast space in the lobby is very limited, so go downstairs in the morning as soon as possible to grab the food.
Walking distance to Shekou ferry, bus, train, metro stations. Nice area, with several cosmopolitan eating, shopping places nereby. Numerous expats living in the neighborhood.

If you take a cab, you need to cross the checkpoint at the border and those are special licensed operators that can cross the border. It can take up to 90 minutes for the ride not counting the time to go through immigrations. It is still a very tightly-controled territory to be kept in mind.
