The hotel is right opposite the train station, which was great for us as we needed to catch a train early in the morning. However, the hotel itself is average. The room stank of smoke, even though we were supposedly in a non-smoking room. The room does have a/c and wifi, but the wifi was fairly poor and dropped out... More

The location is excellent and its directly opposite the train station. Upon arriving don't be surprised to have to wait a while, there always seems to be a lot of people wanting the receptionist's help and the level of English is very low. They were unable to find our booking, but we didn't find this out until we tried to... More

For a mid-range price, this was a great room and a great location. We arrived by train, and the hotel is just across the street (slightly on your left as you exit the train station). The sign on the building says "Lanzhou Mansion". We booked an "executive double" for $43, and were given a room on the 21st floor- great... More

When we first walked in we thought wow, this looks promising. Unfortunately the receptionist was not very helpful, had a bad attitude and just didn’t really care less. Thankfully, this is not the attitude for the rest of the staff as we were very lucky to meet a receptionist who could speak English and went out of her way to... More

We decided to stay one night here to catch a train further west. It's convenient located directly opposite the trainstation. The rooms are nice. If you compare it to other rooms we had for 219 a night, it was very good. We read some soso reviews, so I think they must have been renovated, or we are just very underspoiled...... More

We had to stay a night over in Lanzhou on the way back to Beijing from Xinjiang province due to a scarcity of train tickets. This hotel is located directly across from the train station, has high speed internet access (via line, not wireless) in its 219RMB rooms, and computers in its 259RMB rooms. We have our own computer so... More
