Also called Niko's Hospedaje, this place is falling apart. Bathrooms are mildewed & rotting. The toilets aren't properly bolted to the floor anymore. The showers are hot & have good pressure though, despite the filthy surroundings! Our first room had an overwhelming stench of cat urine. Second room smelled better, but the gas heater wasn't venting properly, so we breathed... More

Stayed here as Nikos II was full. VERY basic but comfortable and close to bus terminal (5 min walk). I've seen comments re: lady running this place being unwelcoming. I thought she was lovely.very patient with limited Spanish speakers, friendly. Again, basic but did the job at a good price.

We stayed there twice because it was reasonable price for a double room with breakfast. We stayed there twice, before and after our 9-days trek in Torres del Paine. The house is definitely not brand new but the place is clean and quiet. Breakfast is served whenever you want (6:30 am if you have to take the bus up to... More

You can't bake anything here if you wan't to cook, it's only allowed to use the oven. Very loud noises till 01.00 in the night because the lady of the house is watching a soap. Bath- and bedroom were filthy. If you can, avoid it. The lady of the house makes you feel very unwelcome.

This hostel is as basic as you get. I wouldn't call it nice, but it is clean and safe (which in 11 months of traveling is the most important) and the owner is very helpful and informative, so it's good value for the price. We should have listened to her though when she told us not to do a day... More

Things seem to have changed since the last review. We stayed here after coming back from the Torres national park because our first, second and third choice were full. On a plus point the place is very clean, apart from that there don't seem to be many good points. The two ladies that run the place are very unfriendly and... More

Niko's was awesome. Very cheap. Friendly staff. The owner has good contacts and helps setup trips into the Torres Del Paine national park and into Argentinian Patagonia. They do Laundry for free. There is no curfew. Rooms are comfy and cozy. And, good crumpets, jam and coffee for breakfast! The staff spoke very little English, and we spoke very little... More
