A good location and excellent rooms and very friendly staff. Food is a little expensive for the quality. Breakfasts good. Be careful using the water placed in the room fridge. They charge $3 for a small bottle - outrageous - we insisted on a discount. They even tried to charge for water we bought from the supermarket!

Our short stay was delightful. All the staff were so charming and helpful from the moment we stepped out the taxi. It's situated slightly away from the downtown area which is no bad thing as the centre of Siem Reap is noisy and crowded and a bit tacky. Our spacious room was beautifully furnished overlooking the lovely pool. Special mention...

This was our favorite place of all six hotels in which we stayed during our SE Asia trip. The property is gorgeous- freshly refurshished but in classic Cambodia style. The level of personal service was very high- what a delight to be so far from home but yet have the staff greet me each day by name! From the complimentary...

This is a small hotel just a couple of dollars away by tuk tuk from the main centre of Siem Reap. Staff and management are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are of a good size although a bit dark, but that might be just a personal thing as my eyes aren't brilliant. Breakfast could do with a bit more of...

Third time staying at the HanumanAlaya Boutique Residence and I would stay there again and again! Wonderful, helpful staff. Lovely little boutique that makes you feel world's away from the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap.

Had an excellent stay at this boutique hotel. We were there on Christmas Eve and they put on a show in the main restaurant together with a gala dinner. It involved the staff and the local children doing their party pieces. This was for the westerners as Christmas day was not something they celebrated. The accommodation was excellent. Spacious comfortable...

We had a great stay at the HanumanAlaya. It's a beautiful property with only 14 rooms on two levels and a pretty, relaxing swimming pool. It's a little out of the way, which is a plus because it's quiet and there's no tourist hassle. It's easy to get around -- just have the front desk call you a tuk tuk...

We arrived to this little hidden away boutique hotel - away from the road and also away from the main busy town. Which is a positive and negative depending on what you want. We enjoyed being in a quite area (not much to do near it). It has a very jungle tropical feel, dark wood and vegetation/plants everywhere. Pool is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Prepare for divine inspiration! The temples of Angkor, capital of Cambodia's ancient Khmer empire, are the perfect fusion of creative ambition and spiritual devotion. HanumanAlaya, Angkor's very own boutique residence, is just a short distance away from these magnificent temple monuments and is the perfect blend of traditional Khmer design and sophisticated international amenities. Many guests love our idyllic retreat. Our guest book is a eulogy to hospitality: a 'wonderful place', 'excellent service', a 'perfect retreat'. 'Paradise'. Lovingly finished in wood and elegantly decorated in local antiques and handicrafts, the HanumanAlaya is a home more than a hotel and guests find it the perfect place to unwind after an adventurous day exploring Angkor Wat and the many other temples. Surrounded by lush gardens, a swimming pool, tropical plants, and a soothing Spa, it is an idyllic retreat from the bustle of Siem Reap beyond, a stay to be savoured rather than rushed. Angkor is a magical experience, one that will stay with visitors forever. Make it more memorable at HanumanAlaya by immersing yourself in our rooms with a personal touch. We are delighted to invite you to visit our sister property, HanumanAlaya Villa, located just 5mn walk from the main hotel. ... more   less
