After visited Angkor Wat, I came back the hotel when the people in the hotel were having lunch. The way they eat looks like Filipinos, they also use plates and also eat by hands. The people there are very friendly, specially the owner of the hotel – Phally. I couldn’t recognize that she’s the boss if no one tells me....

We walked past the Purple Mangosteen several times during our stay in Siem Reap and decided to call in for a drink. Very central location set off a main road in the Alley. The hotel opened in Dec 2011 after a complete refit and renovation. Very contemporary having just a few rooms and a nice bar. The staff we spoke...

We stay here often when visiting Siem Reap, and consequently I feel a bit reluctant to divulge this hidden gem. As there are only a few rooms, I hope there will be room at the inn during our subsequent visits! Extremely centrally located, although it you are a light sleeper you may hear the music from a block away on...

We stayed at the Purple Mangosteen for two nights and loved this cute little hotel based in the heart of the city in one of the smaller alleyways. The room was very clean and comfortable with great AC. We used the hotel driver to take us around to the main sites in Siem Reap, he was very reliable and make...

Overall I like the hotel, the staff is very helpful, location is very strategic because the hotel is in the heart of Siem Reap. Everything was by walking distance to Pub Street, Night Market, massage centre and numerous cafes. The hotel ia cosy, and I also like the fact that the hotel have only six rooms, so it was kinda...

Thanks very much for your review. Unfortunately you were there during a period when there was a lot of work going on and so yes it was noisy in the morning. However the work is now over and that situation is back to normal. The noise in the evening mainly comes from the bar across the Alley and while they...

The owner Phally and her two sisters are doing a great job running this fairly small hotel in the heart of Siam Reap. The rooms are clean with comfy beds and AC and the food is wonderful. Sitting out-front in the small alley and sipping a Lemongrass Mojito is just the perfect ending for a long day in the Angkor...

From airport transfers, tour arrangements, meals, and our room on the 3rd floor, The Purple Mangosteen exceeded our expectations. Best about the hotel is its location, because Pub Street, the night markets, convenience stores, spas, and souvenir shops were literally right outside our doorstep. Staff was very friendly and answered all our queries adequately. Our tuktuk driver, Map, gave great...
