They were so accommodating in serving me a vegetable curry with little fish sauce. After a bought of food poisoning a few days before on Pub Street, I was feeling very cautious. It was a wonderful experience. Also, 2 for 1 happy hour was a plus!

On landing at Siem Reap airport, my daughter and I were met and taken to The Purple Mangosteen in a tuk tuk. A fun way to travel! When we arrived at this little family run hotel, we were warmly greeted but the owner, Phally. I had been communicating with her on several occasions by email and it was like we... More

I booked this little hotel after doing much research online. I have traveled to Siem Reap once before but this was the first time with my kids (9 and 16), so I was looking for a room that would accommodate the four of us. The Purple Mangosteen offers a well-priced family room and this worked good for us. The only... More

After unsuccessfully trying to find a restaurant reviewed in Lonely Planet, quite by chance we ended up here. Really tasty satay chicken for a starter and the amok and chicken with ginger were both delightful. Recommended.

Nice well-appointed and smartly designed rooms. We stayed here after feeling isolated in the more posh hotels closer to the temple areas. This is right in the middle of the old market where you can practically hear everyone including the horrible karaoke singers from neighboring establishments, and the clanging sound of construction noises throughout the day. No elevators and it... More

Chance upon this place while walking in pub street. So glad we came here. The red khmer curry is super and so is the eggplant with pork. We didn't like the chicken basil that much though. The mango salad is super too!!!!! Cocktails are $4 and 2 for 1 during happy hour. So glad we came!!!! It's a gem in... More

We stumbled upon this gem. What attracted us initially were the 1/2 price cocktails and free snacks, but the service was exceptional which lead us to stay and eat.the food was just so delicious, plentiful and extremely well priced. We had the recommended Khmer curry and a stir fry . Both of which we would order again. Add to this... More

This was a great find thanks to TripAdvisor recommendations :) We only went there for cocktails but the service was so great that we ended up going back the following night. If I had known about it before we flew to Cambodia, I would definitely have stayed there. Try the Mai Tai's, they are the best in all of Siem... More
