Stayed at The Angkor Pearl for 2 nights in July 2013. I was very impressed with how clean and comfortable the rooms were, and I honestly couldn't say one bad thing about the whole place. We had 3 people in one room and they put...More
Phenomenal hotel. Gracious staff, good breakfast, beautiful colonial decor. A little worn out, but that adds to the charm. If I am in Siem Reap again, I will be staying here. I felt like I was a king on a pauper's budget.

It's about 10 minutes on foot from Pub Street and there isn't much to do around the hotel itself but it's a really nice place that's far enough away from the noise so you can sleep. They have their own Tuk Tuk taxis outside the hotel that take you to Pub Street and the markets for $2 per taxi which is dirt cheap.

There are no balconies and no pool. The staff are lovely and they will collect you from the airport free of charge if you let them know your flight arrival time. The tuk tuk driver also took us to the temples, had a cool box with water, drove us around there all day and brought us back for $25.00. There are larger hotels nearer the temples and smaller ones nearer the centre of tow near the vibrant markets and "pub street". It depends on your requirments really.
