I arrived in Siem Reap without a reservation so I couldn't be choosy. Managed to locate the Angkor Pearl, for $27/night. The hotel is older and not in a particularly interesting part of the city. Visitors can walk to the downtown markets and pubs, although it is a healthy 15-20 minute walk. The room was rather musty and not helped...

The look of the street had me worried but it turns out that's just how all the streets are out here. Everything was clean, good and the staff was great. I was actually a bit shocked at how nice it all was for the price. Hence the review.

The Angkor Pearl is lovely! It has an old world feel...but modern amenities! Air-conditioning... hot water... coffee maker in room. Beds are comfortable. There is no elevator...so if climbing stairs is a problem...it's something to consider. The staff is great....always helpful and available. Ask them to recommend restaurants. Some of the best meals we had while in Asia for 3...

very good budget hotel. For $35 USD it's quite excellent. This is not a luxury hotel but it's a nice hotel nonetheless. Comfortable clean room. Helpful staff. Pretty good breakfast. There is no elevator but they carried our bags. Picked us up from the airport (make sure you email them the day before to remind them, there are reports that...

For us it was perfect not too close to bar street, but still close to delicious cheap restaurants with cheap drinks. We rented bicycles one day, went on the Angkor Wat tour the next (not as fun as doing it ourselves... waiting for the sunset was very over-rated.) and got a driver to the waterfall the last day(which was great)....

We enjoyed our stay at the Angkor Pearl Hotel. The biggest plus is the staff. Everyone is smiling and courteous. The breakfast was buffet style. They made you eggs and pancakes/French toast. We ate one evening there for supper, food was excellent and very reasonably priced. They even had a 2 for one happy hour drinks. There was always coffee and...
