We decided to stay at this hotel, as our first choice, the happy guesthouse just opposite was fully booked. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner of this khmer run guesthouse, who was very sweet and nice to us and we booked the room for 3 nights upfront, as the room looked clean and spacious. We had the 'pleasure'...

Where to start? I have so much to day about this guest house. It has so much potential to be a really great place to stay, but unfortunately the best intentions of the owners are not enough to override the laissez faire attitude of the children who help “run” the hotel. The hotel is very nice and in a good...

Pictures of the hostel do not match with reality. Blankets were not clean, air conditioning was extremely noisy. Not all the staff speaks English properly. If you want to see the sunrise in Angkor Temples, you will miss your breakfast for sure, because they do not provide you with any take-away option. It is cheap but if you can afford,...

The room and hotel itself, I barely remember. That said, I doubt I will ever forget my experience there. Two experiences, actually. My mind was blown to switch on the TV and find completely NSFW (not safe for work) movie streaming. Mind blown, I decided on a walk to a restaurant the reception had recommended. Passing by my helpful reception,...

We stayed here a few years back, and been dreaming to come back ever since... Mr Kao and his staff really took good care of us during our stay. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We were placed in a special room with a view to the crocodile farm next to the gusthouse. Cool! We really loved chatting with...

I got a single fan room for 4 nights. The guesthouse is pretty clean throughout and my room comfortable. The fan is inadequate for the heat, but that's not the hotel's fault as I could have booked an A/C room. The bed was large for a single room and the mattress firm, just the way I like it. The bathroom...

i am not really a fan of the new siem reap with its tourist hordes and brutal commercialism. luckily i came here about 25 years ago and had angkor wat and surroundings all to myself. anyway BUN KAO was a nice oasis away from it all. loved the free bottled water as it was quite hot and needed. fully recommended.......
