Located in the Wat Damnak area, in the South-East quarter, the retreat is just 10 minutes walk to downtown Siem Reap and about 10 kilometres from Angkor and the airport. Like the other Golden Temple properties, the Retreat provides professional spa, a lengthy swimming pool, extensive bar and high quality restaurant. The restaurant features complimentary Apsara dance performances at selected times and serves both Western and local gastronomic delights. All rooms are air-conditioned and offer flat-screen TVs with satellite channels and many modern comforts. Each room has en-suite shower room with quality fittings. Recognising the importance of guest service, the team constantly work to improve language skills, proactivity, cultural awareness and interpersonal skills.

Our stay at Golden Temple Retreat was perfect! It’s in a great location, about 10 mins away from Pub Street on foot or less than 5 mins by tuk tuk. It’s peaceful and quiet in the hotel compound but the street that the hotel is on has a few restaurants too. Our stay came with a few freebies like welcome drinks and snacks, a free lunch (it was delicious!) and spa treatment, but the hotel also had a few surprises up their sleeve that are a real treat. The staff are amazing and you will be well taken care of, especially Marida at the front office who was really thoughtful and lovely. They can help with booking tours and hailing tuk tuks. The room is spacious and the bathroom had some nice amenities like a salt scrub. We had a room right by the pool, which has a nice little swim up bar and a lot of lounge chairs where you can get some sun.…

We are just back from a great day with Sinet and Chen. We had an air conditioned van for our family of five to take us to Ankhor Wat for the sunrise and after breakfast back at our hotel, they took us to Ankhor Thom and to the Tomb Raider temple. Fantastic sights and Sinit was an excellent guide. Plenty of much needed cold towels and cool water were on hand from. Chen every time we returned to the car. Highly recommended!

The staff are very welcoming! The tour around Angkor Wat and surrounding temples was definitely a highlight. We had Sinet as our guide and learned lots about the engravings on the stone and the history of the temples. It was hot but we were provided with an endless supply of cold water and towels to manage the heat. Definitely worth booking a tour!

Lovely hotel, very lovely reception staff. Did a tour of the temples with Sinet, would definitely recommend as a guide. Very flexible to our timings and what we wanted to see. Everything is organised by the hotel, transport to/from transport etc.

The hotel is very welcoming with helpful staff and a gorgeous outdoor pool. We also did a tour of Angkor Wat and other temples with Sinet as our tour guide. Would highly recommend, he was very knowledgable and made our day a fun one!

Wonderful boutique hotel with excellent warm service. Everyone was so attentive and extremely helpful and friendly. Our package included airport transfers, lunches, massages and more! They helped facilitate tours to make for an unforgettable experience!

Staff at the hotel were fab. Very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. We had a tour guide Sinet who was great and very knowledgeable. Also thanks to driver Chen who was very good and greeted us regality with much appreciated cool towels and water.
