Having been to a few different game reserves this time of year, the amount of animals you can view up close in Chobe is incredible! The transit from the Kasane airport to the lodge is very brief, and we were greeted by elephants on the way. The lodge itself overlooks a watering hole that is littered with animals ranging from...

this was our first real taste of Africa and the animals. our guide, Ren, was very friendly and his knowledge of the area and animals together with his friendliness and sense of humour made our tours wonderful! Permanent tented accommodation was very comfortable and food and service by all staff was excellent! definately recommend!

During our 16 day honeymoon, we traveled to Amsterdam, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Paris. And in all honesty, the highlight of our entire honeymoon was staying at EV Lodge! This lodge is very unique; you don't feel like you're staying at a commercial establishment, instead you feel like you're staying at a friends home. First, I'll tell you about the staff....

Elephant Valley Lodge was our first camp with an OATS group in late October. Tents were comfortable and staff was very welcoming. Plenty of amenities - easy-to-see watering hole, clean swimming pool, dramatic dinner seating, 20-minute ride to Chobe. We got a kick out of baboons and kudu roaming throughout the grounds, despite protective "electric fences." Our guides were extremely...

I had no expectations when I arrived in the lodge (as I have never stayed in one before). We were greeted by friendly lady at the reception and given a key from our tent. The first impression was awesome. I loved the decor of the reception area. It was so welcoming with the tree trunk being the main feature. We...

My husband took a three weeks trip to Botswana during rainy season. Staying at Elephant Valley lodge was therefore less entertaining right there at camp, cause only a few animals have to come to the water hole to drink. Never mind! we had a wonderful stay with very attentive staff and a great accomodation. The game drives with our outstanding...

My husband, teenage son and I visited Elephant Valley at the end of our two-week trip to Botswana. Our guide, Dennis, was wonderful on both game drives and our amazing boat ride on the river. The game in Chobe is incredible. Everywhere else that we went in Botswana we saw wonderful animals and birds but you had to search for...

Our safari guide, Vasco, was excellent and knew the are very well. When we were there I thought the staff and management was on the low side of adequate, the real comparison came when we went to Moremi Camp in the Okavango Delta where the staff attitude and welcoming throughout the trip put Elephant to shame. It is not a...

My parents brought my sister, brother-in-law and my husband and I here as part of their 40th wedding anniversary celebration. We were 6 people taking up 3 tents in the resort so you would think they might go to extra efforts to help us feel welcome and comfortable, particularly because we made note that it was my parents' anniversary. However,...

We were so surprised to find such a nice tented lodge just 20 minutes from the entrance to Chobe National Park. The tents were quite luxurious with very comfortable beds and an ensuite bathroom. The outdoor and indoor dining overlooked a watering hole that had a constant parade of wildlife....especially after dark. The guides that they provided were supurb and...
