We had a delightful stay at Elephant Valley Lodge! Kristin and the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating, and lodge was very comfortable, nice and clean. Our guide Lebo was full of information, and ensured we saw everything Chobe National Park could offer...More
We spent three fabulous days at Elephant Valley Lodge. The lodge is located 25 minutes from the gate of Chobe National Park and 30 minutes from the boats to do game rides on the river. The lodge has a watering hole and a swimming pool...More

Elephants are one of my favourite animals and I didn't realise just how privileged I would be to be literally surrounded by these perfect creatures. I loved the game drives and river cruises and despite being an avid animal lover all my life, realised one...More

We are so pleased to be able to read your review mostly because we feel the same as you! This little spot on earth is special. Your feedback made our day, thank you.
Just returned from wonderful holiday in Botswana which included 3 days at Elephant Valley Lodge enjoyed by 5 of us. The setting is magical as the elephants, giraffes, impalas, warthogs, monkeys and more come to the waterhole throughout the day and evening. Staff cannot be...More
We enjoyed our stay very much. The food was great, but the most amazing part of the stay was the watering hole where we saw animals galore! Our party of 16 (ages 8-75) stayed in the swimming pool area, so we didn't have the luxury...More

Good day. The past month of November has been great. It is a hot month still but as it is the start of the rainy season, it has cooled down a bit. I personally love November as everything comes to life after the dry season.

Hi there, I recommend SAA from Joburg to VicFalls; Zimbabwe-visa has gone cheaper and now costs 30 USD (cash!) instead of 50. Don't let others tell you the falls are in Zambia, as the best view (and the park to walk alongside it) is and always was in Zim for sure. My recommendation: do not miss "High Tea" in the Victoria Falls Hotel (USD 15) - an absolute must - apart from experiencing the friendly Zimbabwean service you will also see the bridge and the spray of the falls while dining on cucumber sandwiches. Camp sites in Zim are clean and generally safe. The people are extremely friendly and will be grateful you visit their negative-news-ridden country. Have fun!

We found that if you leave a tip at the reception, this will be split between all the staff at the lodge, which is great for people working behind the scenes. If you want to tip an individual guide who has taken you on a game drive/boat cruise then give them the tip directly. Tip amount is entirely up to you, but we gave our guides between $5-$10 per trip
