I was very disappointed in the Chobe Safari Lodge. The lodge looked okay. The rooms were decent but needed an update. The bed was comfortable. The food every night at the buffet was horrible. Everything was way overcooked and tasted bland at best. Breakfast was good except twice I found long hairs in my food at breakfast. I will not... More

Stayed two nights in October whilst on safari - could easily have stayed longer. Hotel has a nice feel, comfortable room, good buffet dinner and breakfast. Enjoyed the pool, overlooking the river. The sunset cruise from the lodge is indeed one I shall never forget. Large numbers of elephants, we saw elephants swimming across to the island, crocs, and a... More

Traveling here with Gate 1. We've had a wonderful experience: warm and friendly people, clean and spacious rooms and ideal for safari in national park. Food is very good too with good drinks and wine list. Perhaps what is best is sleeping with very secure screens and hearing nite sounds!

This resort is beautiful and centrally located, I was traveling alone and camping, but the campsite was spacious, cheap (for Botswana standards 95 pula a night per person - own tent - no car) and the central facilities are beautiful. Not the most social of places (a lot of older couples, tours and privately organized parties coming and going, but... More

We spent 3 nights in a very lovely room here. There was a beautiful deep bath tub. Room was spacious but no refrigerator. Wifi only available in dining/reception area and even then service went out frequently. Staff was kind. Buffet only dining which we don't care for. One night walked across to Chobe Bush Camp which has a great ska... More

This was our first night in Botswana before camping and then on into Zambia. Rooms really comfortable with views. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Food good especially buffet in evening. Location convenient for Chobe River National Park and also shopping in Kasane only a short walk. Booked river cruise from here and well worth it with a really experienced and... More

We recently stayed at the Chobe river lodge's new addition across the road called the Chobe bush lodge. What a beautiful lodge! The décor is stunning, everything is brand new and the service was excellent. The rooms are lovely and we were so sad to stay only one night. Dinner was excellent and good value for money. We only missed... More

Our group stayed at this location for 2 nights. The hotel location is very convenient. Part of it is at the Chobe river edge while part of it is across the street. It is also very close to the Chobe National part entrance. Many animal roam around the lodge all day (Warthogs, baboons, Antelopes...). No need for a game drive.... More

My wife and I recently stayed here for 2 nights. We really liked it. Not overpriced like a lot of safari hotels. We went on a morning drive and saw some elephants and lions. We also went on a evening boat trip and saw elephants, hippos etc. Even experienced a thunder storm on the boat ride. Lots of fun.

Enjoyed 4 days exploring around Kasane, Botswana. We took a day trip to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, plus took jeep and boat trip along the banks of the Chobe River. The Chobe Safari Lodge was an excellent value, but you had to keep the door to your room closed to avoid being visited by baboons.
