Loved The Old House, it has a very warm, homely feel, the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much to ask. It is a unique old house, each room is different, we stayed in the attic which was huge and really comfy including sofa and sloped roof. Sunset on the river is beautiful. The restaurant has a great... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the Old House in Kasane and can highly recommend it to any travelers! Even before I arrived, the staff turned out to be extremely friendly and helpful – they were very reactive to my e-mails and helped me answer all my questions. Also, once I was there, they were very helpful organizing tours to... More

We stayed at the Old House for one night during a 2.5 week trip through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. We were disappointed with our stay and were glad we only booked one night. The room, called the "loft", was a converted attic with low, claustrophobic ceilings, very little window space, and rubber black floors. The pillow cases were... More

I spent a few nights before and after my trip in the Okavango. Great staff, very professional and friendly. the game drive and sunset river cruise are organised from there with again very professional guides. Ideal for solo, couple or family who want to avoid the big crowd of tourists. The restaurant is super nice and the food is very... More

We stayed at The Old House for 4 nights in September, 2016. We found it be quite satisfactory given that it is a much lower price option than many of the lodges nearby on the river. An advantage of staying at a smaller place than the big lodges is that there are fewer people on the boat and jeep excursions... More

We stayed one night in this hotel as part of a 1 week safari package in Botswana. We really enjoyed the fantastic location right by the river. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly. However, the restaurant and breakfast were so so.

As we drove down to the Old House after 3 days in the splendor of an up-market game lodge we were prepared for a radical change (for the worse) in terms of atmosphere, comfort and service – but nothing could have been further from the truth. This delightful little guesthouse on the hippo-infested banks of the river Chobe is only... More

We stayed here for one night before our camping safari in the Delta began. Our room was charming, stylish and the house was so quaint and peaceful. We enjoyed our room, they had wifi, and a lovely location on the river. We took the river cruise in the evening and enjoyed wonderful animal sightings and an amazing sunset on the... More

En route to the Moremi Game Reserve we spent a delightful two nights here, sleeping in The Loft, which I can recommend because it's quiet and the room is spacious. The things we loved the most were the easy access to the river - we watched two spectacular sunsets from the banks of the Chobe - the friendly, happy staff,... More
