I've been to several campgrounds ...and yes Twin Oaks does not have paved walking trails, Organized horseshoe tournaments or dancing monkey to entertain your kids and yes the showers are small. But I will tell you what Twin Oaks also doesn't have....Countless Rules like " No fires before sundown and OUT by 11:00pm " and God forbid you're hear talking...

My family and I went here last summer. We have a large family, young children, teens, adults, etc... We got a site right on the muck infested slow to no moving river. Still seemed okay to swim in until my sister came running out, her stomach bleeding profusely. Turns out there are jagged, rusty, sharp poles sticking their way up...

The kids swam all weekend in the beautiful pool, they loved playing up at the playground, We fished and even rented canoes and went out on the Suncook river which was peaceful serene definitely a highlight of...

I have been a seasonal here since I was 3 and this place is a second home to me. Rich and Ann are the sweetest people. They are willing to help you out in any way they can. Most of the people that write bad reviews are the people that have caused a problems here. This is a great place...

This place shouldn't be open. Stayed at cabin one nite. Smelled terrible old nasty furniture. No electric set up when we got there at night. The icing on the cake the coffee pot had old urine inside the glass pot. Good job cleaning and preparing it for guests. DONT GO HERE!!!.

There may not be a "playground" or much for kids to do but when I was young we used our "IMAGINATION" however people don't really let their kids do it they want something at a campground to babysit their kids so they can sit around and do nothing or drink. Try letting them use their imaginations maybe they will turn...

We needed a place to stay close to Louden as we were doing the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Our daughter made reservations here, and so did we. I then looked at the reviews ( I know, a little backwards!). I was horrified and nervous. My husband called the campground and the woman was extremly nice, and said that it was...

We stayed one night and like other reviewers said in the past. Stay away. Our one night stay eneded with the cops showing up because people are yelling and screaming obviously oblivated and on who knows what; chasing his so called girlfriend yelling you better run! Do not take your family here this is definitely not a family campground
