Took us eleven years to manage to go back, and it was just what we remembered. Warm, cosy, friendly, unassuming - just lovely. Good breakfasts, nice restaurant, and really good, attentive and pleasant service from everyone there.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, and it really lived up to its excellent ratings. Staff is professional and polite, rooms cozy, breakfast delicious. We had great weather as well and enjoyed the magnificent view to its fullest.

My wife and I took lunch and left very happy and satisfied. The dining room is perhaps a little old school - lots of typical exposed wood - and doesn't exploit its position on the lakeside. Thankfully, the menu followed suit and offered a splendid...More

First of all the hotel looks amazing, inside and out, filled with art, colour and great furniture. And the location is perfect, in the town centre and with a lovely garden that runs down to the lake. We had a lake view room - spacious,...More

I don't think all the beds are round; when we arrived at the hotel, she told us the bed was round, so we requested another room. They tried, but were unable to find another room, which tells me some do not have round beds. How about contacting the hotel directly and telling them about your needs? I recall them sending me a welcome e-mail after I made my reservation on Expedia. English is not a problem, everyone speaks it.
As for getting there, I suggest your rent a car. If you take the bus, you are basically stuck in the town which is very small and "seeable" in a few hours or so. A car gives you the opportunity to go to other area towns (like Bad Ischl and Hallstadt), which are very much worth seeing. Traffic is very light and signs are easy to understand even if you do not speak German. Enjoy!
