Once you get used to the maze of courtyards, which happen to be colour-coded, you will love this beautiful hotel set not far from the main square of Sucre. There are lovely roof terraces, where you can take in the view of Sucre, and even a private museum in the basement of the property. Expensive by Sucre standards, but a... More

From the welcome by the owner Mr. Rodriguez Calvo, to the service, the decor, the amazing collection of 16th and 17th century antiques, to the location, everything was excellent. I recommend this hotel without reservations to anybody.

We had a perfect time at the lovely five star boutique hotel Parador Santa Maria la Real in Sucre. As we had an injury, the owner and all the staff took care of us seriously and friendly. We felt very safe and comfortable. Our suite was huge, super cosy and clean. Room service was excellent and fast! The Breakfast buffet... More

Besides the perfect location, the beautiful building with charming rooms and good food, the staff was very friendly and helpful with all our special request due to injuries. They have a nice coffee bar, various rooftop terraces and a little spa to enjoy the evenings.

Parador Santa Maria la Real was the best hotel of our Bolivia roundtrip. All in all, we spent 6 nights there during two stays. The hotel combines architectural charms and tastefully decorated rooms with kind and efficient service. Other commentators have elaborated on the beautifully renovated edifice and the great atmosphere. I totally agree and don't have to repeat this... More

I had the pleasure of staying in the Parador Sta. Maria la Real for four nights in August 2016. First, it's an amazingly beautiful property, three former residences hundreds of years in age skillfully and sensitively transformed into a luxurious twenty-first century small hotel. The location, a three minute walk from the main plaza, is ideal. The staff was friendly,... More

I love this hotel for its old-world feel and its super-friendly staff. It's also very conveniently located a short walk from the center of Sucre (one of our favorite cities in Bolivia). Every room is different, with different furniture and beds. The rooms are spacious and children are easily accommodated (my daughter loves this hotel). The staff give you chocolates... More

This is the first tripadvisor review that I have ever written and I have traveled all over the world. I'm writing the review to underscore the wonderful experience that we had in Sucre at this hotel. Pleasant place to stay, a bit manorial to my taste, with large rooms. The building is nice and well located, and staff is efficient and friendly. Very good food, very por coffee, which is for me a sign of care to people, as Colombian. It says five stars, I rate it as four, still lacks many details to become a... More

Maybe my expectations were just too high when I saw 5 stars. Firstly checkin was a let down as the receptionist was really unfriendly and this whilst the porter is watching us carry up our luggage to the 2nd floor. The curtains that cover our glass pained front door couldn't close so had to be happy with people looking straight... More
