I stayed here 6 nights (good grief! due to road blockades and resulting itinerary changes.) I paid $50 or $60 (I forget!) It's charming, my room was very large and warm (had to use the space heater one night, but it works) the bathroom was very large and modern, the breakfast is elaborate and very, very good, and the staff...

I've got mostly good things to say about this hotel. The room came with 3 beds, the hotel had lots of character, the price was reasonable, and the breakfast was quite good. Also the location was just a few blocks from the main square. On the downside, the hotel was a bit worn around the edges, the wifi was spotty,...

Very nice, confortable and charming hotel in an old building in the heart of the city. Wonderful terrace with view over the tile roofs and churches of the historic part of Sucre. What it lacks in modern conveniences is largely made up by the charm of the place and the friendliness of the hotel personnel. The free wifi is fast...

We stayed at the Hostal de su Merced for three nights at the beginning of our holidays in Bolivia and at the end of it we can say that it was one of the best hotels in the country. Our double room was facing the internal patio which is super quiet and nice. Everything - the bedroom, the bathroom, the...

You can't compare this place with the super modern, super expensive and super chic hotels - there's even one nearby. But for the experience and character, I'd choose El Hostel de Su Merced every time. Each room is full of beautiful, antique decorations - many of which are made of precious wood. The only downside I felt was the lack...

Most beautiful hotel we stayed in while traveling in Bolivia. Clean room, hot water FULL breakfast. Would recommend avoiding room#7 as it is street side with a very bright street light that shines into the room ALL night & lots of car alarms going off. Staff was friendly (very rare in Bolivia) & helped with travel plans.

OK granted, it´s not an Asian-style 5* hotel. We´re here in Sucre, Bolivia, a small colonial city which is lovely for walks. This hotel is very conveniently located only steps from the major attractions. It´s lovely small, but well furnished rooms (some better, some simpler) are up to the higher standard you will expect to get in Sucre. There´s one...

We loved this hotel. Very clean and very friendly staff. The rooftop terrace was full of flowers as was the inner courtyard. The location is great, just a couple of blocks from the main plaza. Such a lovely surprise! It was great to find this hotel with large bath and extra Hot water after 4 days motorcycling in the mountains (La Higuerianand and Vallegrande). I especially like the internal patio with all the flowers, curtains and glass. Pleasant ambience.
