Do not believe the theoretical 5 stars that this hotel claims to have, it deserves maximum 2. The morning recepcionist was a sort of useless entity. The in room safety box could not be used on arrival and took several hours to be ready. The contents of the minibar were sad. The bedroom and bathroom need a serious refurbishing... Only...

The Coloso touts itself as a 5-star establishment, but I would rate it as an old 3-star establishment. Yes, the room size is reasonable, and the bed is comfortable. Otherwise, amenities are rather basic. At least the hotel is conveniently-located within a 10-minute walk of the main square. The staff are also friendly, and try to help. Note: The complimentary...

Was not looking forward to staying here after reading the reviews so I was relieved to find it was much better than expected. We had all the hot water we wanted both in the afternoon after the mine tour and in the morning before breakfast. This may have been due to the limited amount of guests staying in the hotel...

Our guide said this is the best hotel in Potosi. We certainly found it good - big bedrooms and good bathroom. There is hot water but it can take a while to come through. Large breakfast spread with freshly cooked eggs, fresh fruit etc. It is only a couple of blocks from main square which is convenient too.

was told this is the best hotel in city center. very hard to believe. needs a very thorough upgrade, veru bland and unattractive at this moment. basic rooms, dull and boring. restaurant looks more like a hospital cafetaria, no atmosophere at all spa and fitness offered, but the premises look like no housekeeping has been done since the 80's

The hotel seemed almost dead when we arrived with little evidence of anyone around apart from the clerk at the front desk. There was something of an aura of a 1950s cinema about the place with its big hall and simple lines and decor. but our room was large clean and light. Having asked if the restaurant was open and...

It's 2am and the very loud heavy metal rock band playing downstairs in the hotel are keeping all the guests awake. Not impressed. Too loud. We'd like some sleep please, we have an early start tomorrow. Not very considerate of your guests to let this party go on so very late.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. I really appreciated the attention to detail in the bathroom with the provision of a facecloth (unusual) and assorted toiletries. Hot water was plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful and restaurant accommodating. Rooms were probably a little too warm in comparison to the rest of the hotel. Wifi eas good. Enjoyed my...

Staff were friendly and nice, it is a well equipped hotel but the internet, although better than some others recently, needs speed improvement. Beds are nice and firm but the room, like most hotels, lacks enough spare powerpoints.

Coloso is located on a street like all the other narrow down town streets. However, once inside it is a world apart from the street. There are at least for different sizes of rooms. We entered a suite and decided we didn't need the extra sitting room. We stayed in a room a stepbelow the suite - 880 bolivianos for...
