Really enjoyed my stay here. Was very dubious about Dubai as I don't do heat, cities or shopping and yes Dubai has all 3. Decided to stop off on a return trip from New Zealand and I am so glad that i did, it was very very enjoyable. I arrived at the hotel at about 6.30 local time, and asked...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Arabian Courtyard in April. We were completely satisfied with our stay and loved the fact that it was situated central to all the attractions of old Dubai - the souks, the Museum and the creek. We appreciated being able to walk from the front door of the hotel to explore old...

Stayed in this hotel a couple of times and loved it! The rooms are beautifully decorated...very unique with a somewhat luxurious feel. VERY clean, too! Having been to Dubai many times, I almost did not want to leave. The price was very reasonable and included free Wifi, too. The sraff was also really nice. The amenities at the hotel are...

This is a very good hotel for the money in an expensive city like Dubai. Majority of the tourist ho-hum is in the new part of Dubai, along with the skyscrapers and brand name hotels. But if u want to experience what it would be like for a local, u have to stay in Deira. Arabian courtyard is located directly...

We recently stayed at the Arabian Courtyard Hotel Spa, Dubai (In 22 Jun, out 26 Jun). This facility was chosen from the trip advisor comments. We were not disappointed. From arrival to departure, the stay was most enjoyable. Located opposite the Dubai museum and a short stroll to Dubai Creek we found the location ideal. As our flight had arrived...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, and we enjoyed it immensly!! The staff were very friendly, check in was prompt, and the room we were given was great!! The location of the hotel is in the old part of the city, but it is near all the shopping bazzars or markets nearby. You can get great deals from...

This is indeed a good find. We got a good deal here because we were staying for 3 nights, and decided to stay here because the reviews were stellar, saying the wifi would work, the pool was open all day, and the breakfast was delicious. Not only were those things true, the staff was extremely kind every time you turned...

I read some reviews and was a bit worried however it was only for a stopover. To our delight this place was amazing. Our room overlooked the fort, staff lovely and accommodating. Room spacious and well put together. We could clearly hear the mosque loud speakers in our room but I like the sound so it wasn't a bother. Breakfast...

We had a two nights three days stay at Arabian Courtyard Hotel. The rooms were excellent, clean, big and spacious. Their buffet breakfast is commendable. We took a cab from the airport and the helpful staff at the front desk advised us on arrival that they should take their free shuttle bus to the airport to catch our flight back....

We arrived at 7 am and Ted for the early check in for about US$30 which we felt was worth it after a 14 h flight. There was a little delay on check in but it was handled In a friendly manner. The room was adequate with a nice outlook. It was standard for a similar class hotel. We were...

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
