This was a very reasonable and nice hotel. The staff was helpful and cordial. We stayed for 5 days and had a great time. The suite was clean and spacious. The only thing was the speakers for the mosque are directly outside the rooms, and at around 5am they begin praying. It definitely will wake you if you are a...

We deliberately chose a hotel in the older part of town and were not disappointed. It's not 5 star, but has a faded elegance. All the staff were attentive and the range of restaurants was impressive. We enjoyed the New Year Party with live band.

Stayed recently with my parents for an overnight visit to Dubai. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice, we stayed in a larger room with a small lounge. It was very quiet for being in the city. The room was very dark, so it was hard to ascertain the time of day or how sunny it...

We stayed five nights at the Arabian Courtyard prior to boarding a cruise. It was a good choice. The location is excellent. It is next door to the Dubai Museum and less than a five minute walk from the Old Souk and the creek. There are frequent ferry boats that take you across the creek to the Gold Souk. Cheap....

Emirates overbookings and delays and missed connections - not a pleasant subject. We spoke to many people at the airport that were put up in substandard hotels near the airport because of this. We should consider ourselves grateful we got the Arabian Courtyard We got to stay here for a day - and I would like to thank all the...

So many hotels in Dubai. So many international brands. Modern this, contemporary that. Same old international flavor. But The Arabian Courtyard was MUCH different. Everything was decorated in a look that made me feel like old Arabia. And the details are what counted, like the Arabian style frame around the "advertisement plaque" in the elevator, to the closet doors, to...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. I appreciate your time to post on this review. We must like this hotel as we keep going back. The staff is efficient, courteous and very helpful. The food is outstanding. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The hotel is very near the "Old Town", the creek and the souks (across the creek). We highly recommend this hotel for fair prices and a very good nights sleep.

just returned from a 5 day break here. As a family group of nine (9), we had booked three executive rooms, however on arrival were initially allocated rooms on lower floors. Two rooms at the back of the hotel which were fine, but the room i stayed in was at the front, so was noisier with road traffic and mosque...

We stayed only one night in mid December, so our review is based only on our brief experience, admittedly insufficient time to provide a fair assessment. We found all the staff courteous, efficient and most helpful. The hotel itself is a bit on the older side, but it is designed to give it a type of Arabian charm. It was...

Arrived early morning of the 18/12/12, left on the 31/12/12, had a very nice stay, but not stay in room 310 again, it was cold and draughty and at the front of the hotel so fairly loud with the traffic, for a 4 star hotel this was a bad thing, also 2 minor items not working in the room, because...

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
