The hotel Five Luxe is perfectly located on the beach in the JBR area. If you're visiting Dubai for the first time, this is likely the best area to stay. Near the hotel there are many restaurants, cafes, clubs, shops and small supermarkets. Within a few minutes’ walk, you can reach the marina and the relatively small Marina Mall. It includes a relaxing living room, a large dining table, and a comfortable bed in the bedroom, with access to the balcony from both the bedroom and the living room. The balcony is big and perfect, the pool is relatively small, but beautifully designed. There is a tall building under construction opposite the balcony, but it didn’t obstruct the view. Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was warmly greeted by Lawrence, followed by Ashraf, the manager. I explained to Ashraf how important it was for me to receive the room I had booked, and he made an effort to ensure I got exactly what I expected. The room service exceeded all expectations. I encountered truly remarkable staf, they were polite, and attentive, with a genuine desire to help. I want to extend my gratitude to Almagire, Isaac, Mamraj, and Foster; they are truly special individuals, and their hospitality made me eager to return to this hotel. Additionally, the room service was exceptional and also fast, and the breakfast delivered to the room was delicious, it's clear the chef puts his heart into the cooking. In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel. It's ideal for young people seeking vibrant nightlife and those who want to enjoy the pool and the beach, as well as for couples and those who value privacy and tranquility. It is also suitable for those who feel like doing sports outside. I want to express my gratitude to the hotel staff. They are incredible people who made my vacation perfect.

Just got back from a 13 night stay at this AMAZING property and I have no complaints! Not sure where I even should begin, our arrival was very late night/early morning and the gentleman at the front desk gave the most welcoming reception and walked us through the check in process as we had issues with our bank and the time difference made it impossible to deal with it at that moment… he was a God sent who in turn told us not to worry and walked us through all the options we had. Shortly after we were settled in our beautiful room ordering room service.
During the stay Housekeeping never missed a beat! SUFYAN… let me tell you.. this man surpassed any customer service I think I have experienced to date and I have travelled quite a lot of places around the world! He was always on top of every detail, ensuring we never needed anything and always preanticipated what some of our needs could be and met those also! Then there was Ajay from Room Service who was also just on top of it and got tired of us asking for ice😂 (this property had no ice machines on the floors… their commitment to convenience and service to their customers means they hand deliver it to you each time without delay).
The property has 4/5 pools and just know Playa Pancha is a MOOD! Their pool service team is on top of it! Make sure to order their Rum Cocktail that’s served in a coconut… you will not be disappointed. Also, we jet ski’ed with the hotel and this was another excellent experience.
They have a cafe in the lobby that makes flavorful smoothies and their croissants are made fresh daily!
If all of this didn’t make our experience great this definitely made it that much better. See, during our stay we had a birthday and the resort sent a complimentary cake plus they were able to customize the flavor as I am not a fan of chocolate.
The location of this property is prime and close to a lot of restaurants, shopping and other great properties.. there is a mini “souk”/carnival down from the resort near to end of the strip closest to chipotle and the jewelry stall on the roundabout has amazing buys!
I wish we took names of all the wonderful people we encountered from the valet and luggage team, to concierge and even security because they made the stay feel like a second home due to their professional yet personable consistent demeanor to us.
Upon checkout they even allowed us to leave our ton of bags with them seeing that our flight wasn’t until midnight. They suggested that we could even still use the pool if we wanted to.
This property was worth every penny and we look forward to returning!

Let’s start with the good! Well…I guess it looks nice! In fact it’s probably the most opulent hotel in JBR, and as someone that appreciates good interior design and attention to detail were initially very, very impressed with the hotel. Unfortunately, however, once you look past the veneer, and you don’t have to look very hard, you quickly begin to realise the hotel has absolutely no idea how to provide the most basic of services.
We stayed in a room in the tower and due to a fault with the terrace door, the door automatically locked behind us when we went out on the balcony to get some air. We were trapped on the terrace for hours in the blazing sun. Eventually a cleaner appeared on the balcony of an adjacent room and we were able to raise the alarm which led to us being rescued by 3 engineers. It was a truly awful experience and to make matters worse the hotel offered no apology…nothing!
Just like it’s sister hotel (5 the Palm) they levy a daily charge to sit near and/or to use one of its pools.! Why should we pay thousands of pounds to stay at hotel and then pay extra to use a swimming pool!
A power cut occurred in our room at 9pm one evening. Despite calls to reception for assistance on three occasions, and being promised that someone was on their way, no one came until the following morning. This is not the service one expects from a 5 star hotel.
We settled our bill when leaving the hotel, but after arriving home we noticed the hotel had debited our credit card with further unauthorised/unexplained charges. We contacted them a number of times but they failed to respond and eventually we had to ask our credit card company to reverse the charges.
We also noticed the hotel had disclosed some of our personal information to a third party without our consent. To date they have not provided an explanation or responded to our queries regarding this matter.
We won’t be going back!

Few problems that wasn’t resolved . Sink blocked in the bathroom Bad sewage smell that came and went Room curtains open by them self’s all night annoying to have to keep waking up to have to sort curtains out . Told when checked in we can use all facilities with our all inclusive package at the sister hotel five palm . First time no problems second time we are told we can only use certain parts and anything previous will be charged for not what we was told at all and I will not be paying for anything I was told I had in my package . staff need training in what people are allowed to use and where and notify the guests before they use facilities.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning design and a great atmosphere. My room was spacious and well-decorated, and I especially loved the large terrace—it was perfect for relaxing.
The pool area was a real highlight, with amazing music, fun parties, and a DJ creating a great vibe. It’s definitely a place to enjoy and unwind.
However, the service was awful—easily the worst I’ve experienced. It felt completely unprofessional and disorganized, not even worthy of a three-star rating. To make things even stranger, the man who cleaned my room went out of his way to ask me to write a review specifically praising his work and even mentioning his name.
Overall, the hotel itself is fantastic, but if good service is important to you, be prepared for disappointment.

I’ve stayed in many 5-star hotels in Dubai, and Five Lux JBR is far from luxury. Here’s what you need to know:
• Overpriced for the Room-Only Option: If you’re planning on just using the room, you might manage—but be prepared to pay a premium for a subpar experience.
• Pool Access is a Money Grab: Want to enjoy a proper pool? Forget it. The attractive, sun-drenched front pool area is off-limits to hotel guests unless you spend a minimum of 1000 AHD. Instead, guests are left with a tiny, shaded toddler pool that hardly feels like part of a luxury resort.
• Rooftop Bar Scam: The rooftop bar is an absolute rip-off. I was charged $92 for a vodka Red Bull, and when I challenged them, they were too scared to confirm the hotel’s cocktail prices in writing. A complete scam.
• Noisy Construction 24/7: A massive construction project right next door means constant noise—even at night—which invades both your room and the pool area. Enjoying the sun becomes nearly impossible with these daily disruptions.
• Awful Beach Club: The beach club offers a disappointing, 3-star quality experience with no direct access to the sea (blocked by flood barrier sandbags), making it a far cry from what you’d expect in Dubai.

We came to the hotel with our family. The agency warned that the hotel is new and there may be rough spots at different stages, but did not warn that a new building (skyscraper) is being built practically wall to wall, the construction of which is carried out around the clock!!! For breakfast, you can’t make your own coffee, you have to order it through the waiters, who constantly confuse or forget to bring it until you show firmness (this happened every day). As first impression the hotel is nice its crowded yes because it is Eid but thats not a problem, at the reception when checking in we were deciding if we should upgrade or not so we didnt. After checking in to our 2BR we found that the living room is too small for us as we are 4 people so we called for an upgrade. I called by 4:30pm payment link was sent by 4:58pm to upgrade. Main issue was that the time is NOW 6:10pm and we are not yet moved to the room. The lady told me once payment is done we will be moved to our new room, then she said we should wait for a call to move. I packed my bags and everything its been almost 2 HOURS. We are here at the living room wearing our abayas, shoes and all bags are kept next to the door waiting to be moved. at first I thought its only going to take 30 minutes as most of 5 star hotels do then I gave them 40 minutes then I had to call. If I was informed that the room will take longer than 30 minutes i would at least have done something like order food use the pool or do something but we were not giving a specific time!!! Usually hotels move you within 30 minutes approximately but TWO HOURS??? Thats crazy!! The lady who was handling the issue said "I asked you at first if you want to move we had a free room but you decided later so now we need to prepare a room for you" Yes I understand but at least inform me "Mam this is going to take an hour to prepare the room for you is that okay? Or maybe mam thats going to take sometime because the room is not ready maybe an hour or something so we are aware of it and not be seated like crazy at the living room waiting for almost 2 hours!! Thats so sad because honestly the hotel is nice, staff are friendly but this is not enough. I came here to enjoy but yet I am here frustrated half of my day/time is wasted waiting.. I was giving late checkout but its only after I insisted to have late checkout by 6pm tomorrow also a breakfast for all of us BUT again thats only after my experience here was ruined. Thanks for the team. Will I recommend it to family members and friends? Not really.

This was probably the worst experience ever in terms of room service. During the whole week the hotel did not manage to organise morining cleaning and night room service. Despite the "make up the room" signes, our absence for the whole day service was only possible to arrange after a special call to the reception. Laundry service was late in delivery also almost by a day and was delivered only after a separate request. So in short - internal hotel processes are organised at a level of a 3 star hotel.
