Detailed Reviews
Wow! What an amazing experience at the W, I have previously been to Dubai twice and stayed at the very luxurious One and Only which is more expensive, however the W lived up the same expectations.
We arrived at 10am and our room was already prepared for check-in which was lovely and the reception staff were very informative and explained the half board options. Liv (the buffet restaurant) was available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and were included in the half board offer (breakfast and lunch, or breakfast and dinner). The staff at Liv were always so friendly and remembered us!
At Turno Subito (TS) and Akira Back (AB) we were given 150 dirhams pp to put towards the total bill. I loved the wagyu tagliatelle at TS and the shrimp tempura roll at AB. You MUST also use the dine around offer, were you get 150 dirhams pp to put towards food at a Marriott hotel restaurant. I recommend Buddha Bar for the best Asian food, and the Observatory bar and grill for the best views, try for sunset. Food and drinks was expensive (but worth it), as expected for Dubai. For context, food around the pool area was around £20 a dish and drinks around £10. At SoBe the drinks are around £15 but they offer sunset hour where you get 2for1 on selected drinks, which is very good value!
Masks were required throughout the hotel except when laying at the pool and eating / drinking. The WET deck and pool area was beautiful and clean, and the staff very attentive, especially Faru!
I discovered there was also a free shuttle service to and from the Nakheel mall through reading trip advisor reviews, so it is definitely worth enquiring about this. The mall isn't huge but offers most things you could want.
I stayed in a wonderful room with a partial sea view and it was perfect. Tidy and clean with all the basic amenities and more. The room was very spacious and the bed was HUGE! I loved that there was a bar area in the room and the personal touches. The bathroom included a bath and separate rainfall shower, sink and vanity area. The balcony was also spacious and included a day bed and outside seating.
The location of the hotel is slightly secluded, however this didn't bother me too much as taxis are very cheap. For reference, it was around £20 for a taxi from the airport to the hotel.
Best bits - food, friendly staff, shuttle to mall, dine around offer, WET deck, clean and modern, good views
Downsides (very minor) - slightly secluded location, having to pay to sit in pods / cabanas at pool, buffet got a bit repetitive
Overall, I 100% recommend staying at the W and would love to come back one day.

This was the 2nd time staying at the W Palm. First visit was in October 2019.
Having stayed there the first time I had mixed reactions to my stay, the hotel was generally nice as well as amazing staff but had a major issue with my room. The issue was that I got to my room at 1.30am in the morning only to find ants in my room (including on my bed and bedside table). Anyway they changed rooms for me but was the last thing I was expecting at that time.
I gave the hotel a 2nd chance in December to make up for my previous stay...at first they were only offering me a 20% discount of the room to make up for the previous inconvenience ...I booked directly with Marriott and it was working out much cheaper than what I was offered. I notified the hotel and was told this time my stay would be perfect and I would be looked after.
Upon check in I was told my room had been upgraded which was a nice gesture. They gave me the marvellous corner suite (I think it was called), a truly stunning room. The room was unbelievable and appreciated the gesture which even included a free bottle of Prosecco.A good start to my stay.
The room included a hot tub outdoors however there was issues with this which was disappointing as I was assured I would have the perfect stay. The hot tub was dirty and clearly not cleaned prior to my stay. Even more disappointing was that I wanted to use it and someone (ashibah) came to clean it first. Then another person came to switch it on, he was having a few issues switching it on and then said it’s not working without giving an explanation. He started whispering something to his colleague which I didn’t really appreciate as I would have rather been told the truth. When I asked what the issue was he said he didn’t know and a technician would have to be called out to look at it. During my entire stay no one bothered to come to look at it so what shouldve been perfect was not as I was looking forward to using the tub. It feels as though just because I was given an upgrade it wasn’t really a major issue for them, if I had paid full price for this room I would’ve been very disappointed. Whether it was an upgrade or if I paid full price I should still be treated the same.
On a plus note, The hotel itself is lovely and the staff are amazing some of which I made good friends with. I would like to say a special thanks to the following staff who always looked after me;
Deepa & Zeinab (LIV)
Alejandra & Nav (wet deck)
Ashibah (who cleaned the hot tub)
Ben ( who is part of the security)
I travel to Dubai every few months but would I go back to stay there? Possibly, just hope there wouldn’t be a problem this time either.

Went to Dubai with my daughter and stayed for 2 nights at the W Dubai The Palm. Wanted to be able to see the area Palm Jumeriah. Is an amazing hotel, cool W décor, amazing looking pool, waterfront views. We were on the 5th floor and overlooked the water. The room was spacious, came with a welcome box of baklava, and had a cool open plan with closets in the middle at the front that separated the walk way from the sinks, toilet room, and shower area. We did have a problem with the shower not draining and overflowing the first night and called the front desk who had an engineer come to declog it. The bed is comfortable and there is a couch and coffee table next to the bed. In front of the couch and coffee table sat a black shiny bathtub overlooking the patio to the water. The large TV was in front of the bed. The hotel has several restaurants, but we got room service the first night. Indian food that we ordered was great. They have a free shuttle to the local moll in Jumeriah which is easy to catch public transportation to Dubai. We took the public transportation to Mall of Emirates and Ibn Battuta that day and was easy to navigate. Got the transportation back to the Atlantis hotel to check that out and Uber'd back to the W. A great base for exploring Dubai.

Wanting to relax but ended up walking out all stressed out because of the SPA management! My husband and I booked for a couple’s massage at 6pm. We got there at 5:15 so we can use the facilities and we’re told that our booking was for 6:30pm. We politely asked them to check in the system, turns out the system was down. We said it’s okay it happens and we will use the facilities instead and wait for 6:30. But we were also told that the couple’s massage that we booked will be in separate rooms as another couple booked for 6:45pm. We said that we received a confirmation for a couple’s massage in one room but we were told no. We suggested to call the “other couple” if they will allow for a 15 minute delay but the management didn’t even considered it. We asked to speak to the supervisor and the supervisor said the only way they can accommodate us is if we do the treatment at that point and just use the facilities after.
System down and all happens, and me and my husband are understanding about that. But my main concerns are the following:
1. We feel discriminated against as they were not willing to accommodate our “actual booking” for another couple who have also booked. What is with the other couple against us that they are not bothered to upset us and prefer not to upset the other couple?
2. The fact that they told us to use the facility after the massage suggests that they don’t know or care about the SPA carnal rule not to shower right after the treatment because it could block the healing process which is what you want from getting a massage.
I ended up walking out which has created a bit of tension between my husband and I. It is such a shame as we were so looking forward to this experience as we read great reviews about all the other spas outside of Dubai.

Room worn out, scratches all around together with dust. Once water was spilled on the floor and white paper towels became totally black after wiping. We went to the reception to request proper floor cleaning, hotel staff asked when we want the room to be cleaned, and as soon as room service were already there that day we demanded it on the following day, so receptionist asked us to come next day again with our request (really? we need to run after hotel staff to make you do your job properly?). No apologies followed by the hotel.
3 days in a row our room was not cleaned till 4-5 pm, we went to the reception and agreed to have always room service not later than 2pm. It worked for one day, but already in a day room service again was not there by 5 pm. After contacting hotel staff one more time, we got no real apologies again.
Almost all towels are with holes, poor grass quality at the pool area, not nice to walk on it. No water at the pool.
For the whole day hotel provides one small shampoo, one small conditioner and one small shower gel for 2 ppl. Does someone really think it is enough? Often towels missed after room service.
While breakfast is ok, almost every day carrot juice was finished in the middle of the breakfast time.
If you want to have proper stay, I’d recommend shangri la or ritz.

We spent 7 nights at the stunning W Dubai which is a very modern hotel with contemporary decor and an amazing vibe. The suite we stayed in was stunning and a big thank you to the gentlemen who ensurd that it was always clean and well stocked. A special thank you to Jazzen who from the moment we checked into our room so obligingly assisted in ensuring our room was comfortable and up to our expectations. He made our family feel very welcome and very special. Compliments also to the valet staff, especially Wadjee who assisted with parking our car and hailing cabs for us, always with a warm, friendly smile. Thanks also to Michael, the concierge, who so kindly assisted with all our queries and welcomed us each time we returned to the hotel with warmth and enthusiasm, enquiring about our day. The hostesses at Liv, Vipa and Zeinab were amazing - warm, friendly and made each dining experience so memorable with their friendliness. To the servers, especially Shamiah, whose friendliness will never be forgotten. To the chefs, especially the pastry team, thank you for an unforgettable dining experience. W Dubai is a stunning hotel with amazing staff.

We stayed as a couple at W the Palm for holidays. The concierge service was excellent! Michael did everything we could could have asked for if we had any points (e.g we had do to a COVID 19 test before departure because of the travel restrictions). He did so well and was always at out service and did his work with the biggest passion.
Also Siwas from the wet deck crew (poolside) was always there when we needed anything and made sure that we had a lovely place right in the first row by the pool. The pools are very nice, cause you can sunbath direct in the water (which is needed because of the temperatures in Dubai :D) also there is a nice breeze coming from the ocean. That’s for sure an advantage when you stay on the palm (or at W).
They did also well with the breakfast. There were many options and some colleagues were very pleased to bring you your chosen foods after you decided on the buffet (hygiene concept due to Corona is very good handled like that).
The rooms are very stylish and also big! We booked superior room with sea view.
I „just“ give 4 stars as there was some maintenance done at the pool the First day we arrived and the room was not a hundred percent clean at first. But as mentioned above Michael management everything after a second! Thanks for that.
Thank you W-Team the Palm. See you again! Sven and Nadine

We expected to be blown away and W Dubai did not disappoint. The vibe was contemporary, young and hip. Upon entering, we were greeted by of course, the concierge and the sweet scent lingering all over the hotel. Sending of a clean, sweet, relaxing mood. Chiara, the front desk who attended to us was so friendly. Even if it was raining hard outside, you can’t break the party spirit in our room.
Hotel Interiors is nothing short of ordinary.
We had our lunch and breakfast at Liv. spread is not that many but quality of taste is good.
Service is good as expected.
Only wish we had is more location points for complimentary shuttle service, like to airport, dubai mall as hotel is pretty far from everywhere else.

We are very, very impressed with this hotel. From the moment we arrived the service was outstanding; from the arrival greeting staff, to the check in/out agents, wait staff, hair salon staff, room service staff, everyone that works at this hotel is not only friendly but they go above and beyond to make your stay the very best. The hotel is very chic and modern, luxurious but it doesn’t feel pretentious. The W- Palm is impeccably clean and they follow social distancing rules very effectively. Our room was spectacular, gorgeous view of the resort and sea across. The hotel facilities are amazing, gorgeous pool, delicious and beautiful restaurants and, bars and lounges are absolutely exquisite. The breakfast at Liv is so delicious and really good price, all you can eat buffet. I’m a big fan of the W hotel franchise but I must say this W-The Palm in Dubai is my most favorite ever. I highly recommend this hotel, whether you are flying solo, as a couple or with family this place will surpass your expectations guaranteed.

The hotel is stunning, every aspect from rooms to the pool side to the restaurants it has something unique about it. The service, cleanliness, the food has been great too although the restaurants especially italian a la carte, we found the prices a little extortionate for what was being offered on the menu. It has been a positive stay, we had a 4 night stay, however a couple of things were a let down hence the 3 stars:
1) We understand the need for music and designated areas for those who enjoy loud music but on Friday & Saturday during our stay the music was 10 times louder than needed so much so you could hear it from the beach. Its not what you would consider respectful for other guests who would like to enjoy the quiet time. I know there is an event called Saturday Brunch where the expats/tourists come to enjoy themselves for a few hours but it shouldn't be at the expense of other guests at the hotel.
2) The cabanas need to be reserved, and held for the entire day. On several occasions we noticed the reserved cabanas were never used and this prevented other guests from being able to use the facilities. If guests don't arrive in their cabanas after a set time they should be released to other hotel guests as priority.
3) Our room shower whilst a very good shower was quite temperamental, the temperature would go extremely hot and then cold by itself without any adjustments. Also the AC unit seemed like it was pumping petrol fumes from a smell perspective. It didnt bother us too much as we mostly had ours off anyway.
4) The morning breakfast food selection great at Liv, the staff at the entrance very welcoming. The waiters on the first few days on arrival were all great however, when each and everyone asks you about your stay it does become a little annoying. I understand most of them are on a 1yr training but not everyone likes to asked the same question multiple times in one sitting but other than that they have been great. Unfortunately on our last day today the staff rotation had change and the staff in the outside seating area for breakfast were very disorganised and lost. There needs to be more senior management present to help train staff and organise the morning breakfast service.
5) The dinner service gets crazy a little at the Liv restaurant (buffet service) from 6.30pm -8.30pm so you have to make a choice between being in the madness and getting hot food or going after 8.30pm but then don't expect the food to very warm or even replenished. The hotel isn't at full capacity so I can't imagine the madness when it's fully booked.

Yes although should you wish to rebook specific beds there is a cost that you can use against food and drinks from the Wet Bar
I am afraid I didn’t go half board, but I did have breakfast included, which was excellent. To be honest there are so many restaurant venues in around Dubai and close to the hotel. I wouldn’t want to go half board and reduce my options. There are however a couple of excellent restaurants at town, one is Asian and the other Italian.
Hi
Unfortunately I don’t have the packages as they change but no restrictions during Ramadan even on alcohol in the hotel.
