Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Pros: 1. Good location (easy for taxis to find) 2. 10 minutes walk from nice beach 3. Clean rooms 4. Plenty of space 5. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby 6. Easy to get a taxi on the street 7. Taxi from airport was 25GBP (via Booking.com), Taxi back to airport (GetTransfer) was 46GBP. 8. Had Netflix 9. Had Nespresso machine (4 free capsules) 10. Lovely view of the Marina from Windows (12th floor)
Cons: 1. No helpful instructions (eg. how to get a taxi, places to visit, if we needed a Dr, etc) when we arrived; 2. No one greeted us when we arrived - so no helpful verbal tips 3. Confusion on actual location - we had 3 different apartment blocks mentioned in emails and messages (we were in Sadaf 2 room 1209). Ensure this is crystal clear before setting off. 4. We had a resident pigeon on our balcony that made a mess of items we left out to dry. Also, there was 'bird' mess on the balcony when we arrived. Should have been cleaned and an anti-pigeon device fitted. 5. The two shower drains were blocked. Fortunately there was a backup drain outlet that caught the overflow. But still flooded the floor. Engineer did arrive to fix but we were out.

A lot of people on the beach, like in Anapa in summer) There are paid deckchairs. One costs 125 dirhams - includes sunbed, umbrella, coin for shower and towel (have to leave cash deposit)
The beach itself is clean, and staff of nearby restaurants offer food and drinks with delivery.
The main advantage is the beautiful view of Dubai Eye 😎

There is a large beach, with great views of Bluewaters Island, loads of licensed and unlicensed F&B, entertainment including lots of water sports, a helicopter simulator and indoor mini golf.
You can easily dined a few days in the area and not get bored.

I came to Dubai with my family for a holiday vacation arrived 12/24/20 and stayed until 1/5. Well...... the place itself is nice but EVERY night the apartment above was rude and ignorant!!!! Their child ran across the apartment with pounding noise coming through and there isn’t carpet in these apartments so when they moved chairs or anything it made annoying noises until about 4 or 5 am or when they decided to go to sleep. I made complaints to the security and the day & night managers every evening at 1 am, 2 am etc... and they said it would get taken care of well it did not the complaints were ignored by the tenants and I was basically forced to just put up with the NOISE until 4 or 5 am. So I suggest to put your money elsewhere or request to stay at the property only if you are on the very top floor so no one is above you. I was counting down the hours to leave! Dubai is gorgeous and has a lot to offer but beware of the Jumeirah Beach Residence

The room was clean and comfortable and a nice view of the beach and gulf. But that doesn't make up for the fact that after the cleaning service came in one afternoon my wife's bathing suit, which was hanging in the bathroom, disappeared. All we get are answers that have nothing to do with the question, "Where is the bathing suit." They have been asked at least a half dozen times.
Also, we have been waiting almost 3 weeks for them to return the security deposit. So, at this point I would say they are a dishonest company to be avoided.

JBR is my favorite place to stay in Dubai. It is a few minutes walk from the marina, has some of the best hotels, it is a lovely clean beach with plenty of activities and restaurants. So much choice to choose from. Would 100% recommend this area for new comers to Dubai

You can hire apartments in the JBR and they work out much cheaper than the Hotels. Obviously Dubai is all about luxury but if you want the sun and beach with out the expensive accomodation these apartments are good value. They are located 3 mins from the beach, there is a supermarket on the complex and 3 swimming pools. although with the pools you have to move to a different one depending on the suns position. There is a starbucks there too. Along the beach front is a long pathway, (very rare in Dubai) which is lined with restaurants and cafes.(You cannot buy alcohol on these restaurants ) And they are all pretty child friendly, there are loads of people walking up and down with buggies which makes it a good location with kids. As its a public beach you would need to bring your own shade. Its a great base to get to the other areas of Dubai and see the hotels and restaurants.

The JBR is definitely one of the best places to stay in Dubai. It's close to the beach and the Walk where everyone goes to people-watch. It's popular with young families as well because it's a safe area for the kids to play. Prices vary a lot with a sea-view commanding a high premium.

This place is ok to visit but to stay central in JBR could be noisy with the cars revving most nights it reminds me a lot of the mamaris strip, nice places to eat, but if you want a bit of peace and quiet on a night I would book a hotel a bit on the outskirts but walking distance.
