Just returned from a weeks stay for October half term. The hotel is beautiful it’s quite out of the way and takes about 40-50 minutes from the airport depending on Dubai traffic.
We arrived early morning and our room wasn’t ready but the staff worked to get us in earlier so we were grateful. However, be careful here we booked a family suite and paid more for this and was put in a family room with interconnected doors our children are a bit older 12 and 7 years so wasn’t a problem for us, we wasn’t shown a family suite to compare but was told the room was better than a suite???
Food there is something to eat for all my youngest struggled a little most kids I saw were eating plain pasta and chicken nuggets. We had to ask for chips to be cooked most nights as they weren’t available. The food is ok very repetitive so be prepared for that.
We booked All inclusive and at the pool bar and restaurants your given a different menu for drinks and food. The beer has two options only Budweiser and Carlsberg about 3 cocktails and soft drinks. Unless you pay for other drinks so again repetive and you have to tell them you’re all inclusive or you get stung for the prices of drinks otherwise. You’re limited to ice creams per person per day very strange when you have paid all inclusive. Drink service is slow too around the pool bar and restaurant.
The rooms are lovely and kept clean our room on arrival wasn’t cleaned well but a call to reception and it was sorted. The staff are very helpful and always polite they work hard.
The parks are fabulous and the surroundings are lovely we did all of them, recommend booking a cabana at Legoland splash park around £70 for the day, helped having a base for the day and a private space.
The hotel provide buses to the malls and the beach but the drivers don’t speak very good English so remember your drop of points to be collected from!!! You do need to book these!!
There was conferences at the hotel which stopped paying guests from utilising the outside space to eat which was frustrating as it was blocked for conference and this happened twice in a week we were there for.
Overall we had a great holiday, great weather the parks are fabulous, it is slightly out of the way and nothing around you to walk too and no evening entertainment, the parks all close around 8pm and they are strict with closing times. The buggies around the hotel are helpful but only drop you too the entrance of river gate then you need to walk to your park be prepared for this especially in the day time heat!!!
The pools are clean and have lifeguards around them, you can use inflatables which they will inflate for you.
We probably wouldn’t stay here again due too the location and the restrictions around the all inclusive, plus there’s lots more places to visit in Dubai and we visited all the parks within the hotel.
Would recommend going to the Atlantis water park if you haven’t visited there, worth the money and really good fun for all the family of all ages.

Simply perfect! Our second visit to Lapita came here last October too. We loved it so much last year we even recommended it to friends who were visiting UAE for the first time. Safe to say they were blown away too. We arrived after a flight and baggage delay in the very early hours but we were warmly greeted and check in was efficient and bags were delivered to our wonderful room. We were celebrating our 15th Anniversary and our friends their 25th and Irene from the guest relations team had gone way above expectations by arranging a fabulous upgrade to rooms with connecting doors and a beautiful suite. Her and Fabiano had arranged stunning decorations in our room and also arranged for welcome cards for our children which was a truly wonderful touch of great customer service. The quality of the beds, bedding, towels, furniture is all second to none and the fabulous suite we were given had the most amazing shower which was much needed after a long and tiring journey. The room was well stocked with all amenities you would need and plenty of bottled water included too. We slept for a few hours but then got up to enjoy the wonderful breakfast which has everything that you could ever want, all beautifully cooked or prepared and the waiting staff are truly amazing too, polite and efficient at finding us tables and serving us to prepared to order eggs or omelettes etc. The pools at Lapita are perfect too, the whole environment is so authentically Polynesian or Hawaiian and you would never think you were in Dubai. Irene kept up the wonderful service throughout our stay with Anniversary cakes and fruit and other little special touches that we really appreciated. The stay we had included unlimited access to the theme parks and our kids and us were keen to fully investigate. We visited all of the parks over the next few days, the Waterpark being a great surprise how large and how many slides there were. Great fun was had by all. We managed to make it to Motiongate in time for the "scare fest" Halloween fright night events and we loved seeing the effort that had been taken to make it a special occasion. Everywhere at Lapita and around the resort is spotlessly clean, the buggy drivers are plentiful and polite, the luggage guys Samuel(?) and Shabeek were really helpful in arranging storage for our bags and taxis for our departure. It really felt like nothing was too much trouble, the service element at this Hotel for which Irene leads the way is truly a pleasure to behold. The food we experienced around the pool and at dinner on the evening in theaon restaurant was excellent too and priced very sensibly. After a few days we moved on to a different part of Dubai for the rest of our pre booked holiday but in hindsight we would have been more than happy to have continued our blissful stay for the whole week. We have already booked our flight to come back next year and will have even more friends keen to join us in the Lapita "bubble" that is so perfect. Thank you to everyone who helped make our stay so special, we and our children loved every single moment.

We stayed at this hotel 4 years ago in the fall - everything was excellent! This time the three of us vacationed from 02.25-01.03 with a friend and a 7-year-old child. We booked a room with two beds - very comfortable large beds, convenient for sleeping with a child. At the reception, a Russian-speaking employee named Mohamed (from Egypt) kindly provided us with a room with a beautiful view of the pool, the pool, by the way, is heated, it’s very comfortable to swim. Meals were taken HB + breakfast and dinner - buffet (all high quality and varied for every taste). Very tasty coffee. For the child, ice cream was offered once a day at the reception of the coffee shop using this food system. Tickets for all parks were issued for all 5 days at once. The area is very well maintained, the staff is attentive! Indian weddings took place on the hotel grounds - autumn is colorful! The outlet is a 10-minute walk away - a very convenient location. There is an organized free shuttle to the beach (located in Dubai Marina), then it goes to the Dubai Mall shopping center. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay! I recently checked in to this hotel together with my family for 2nights and I can say that we enjoyed our entire stay.
Starting from the time we checked in they welcomed us with lei flowers (artificial yet the feeling is giving a nice reception)
Their staff are well trained to accommodate us without any hassle, as if everything is done naturally. They are polite and always smiling. Among them is Hawley and Ayyasamy who delightfully help us with our luggages and transport to theme park locations. Getting to Legoland Theme Parks and Waterparks are just a call away for them to provide a nice pickup & drop(buggy service)
They also have a spacious kids club where the staff ensure the safety and enjoyment of your children, to this I thank Ms. Judy giving us the assurance that we can leave our children under their care.
The place really has a peaceful atmosphere, though summer heat is wearing us down, they have a wonderful and clean pool that you can soak and relax.
Morning came, a wide variety of food selections was offered for breakfast, I can say other hotels has the same, but what really separate Kalea from the rest was how accomodating their chef was. Chef Rattesh introduced himself to us by making sure that his crew will give value added service even to our slightest request.
And speaking of food, which become one of the highlight of our stay. Hikina, the multi Asian cuisine gave my wife and I a delightful experience of foods we love from other countries, from its Thai mango salad , the Tom kha gai, nasi goreng, beef rendang to mango sticky rice... Everything has its own fresh taste. (note to chef: thank you for the wonderful taste, but be careful with mangoes next time)...
On our last day of our stay, they gave us an ample amount of time to prepare ourselves for check out This really gives us a thought to return to this place again.
This place really detached us from our busy lives, ans I really felt that I'm away not only from my work but from Dubai itself.

I have just returned from my holiday in Dubai (which is a destination I travel every year). I chose the Lapita resort as I was travelling with my 2 young children and felt the inclusion of theme park tickets for free was a no brainer.
I must say that my stay was amazing (but not without some flaws). Before visiting the hotel I spoke to the duty manager Kumar who was amazing. He took a note of all my requests and his communication was great.
The room was amazing as we were in a family suite (which was provided as an upgrade) and the view was great. The staff throughout the facility were amazing, friendly and always smiling.
The kids pool was a good size and there was plenty for kids to do. Theme parks were brilliant and the fact that Riverland was so close was an added bonus. There was regular buggys taking you to and from river land from which there was a short walk to all the theme parks.
The food:
Although the breakfast was nice, I would not class it as top tier compared to other hotels that I had stayed at in Dubai. Omlettes had to be ordered rather than being freshly made for you to take instantly and simply things such as sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes etc were not available. There were occasions where some of the characters such as Smurf were attending the restaurant which was a ice touch for the children.
Ari Restaurant:
The food here was absolutely amazing. All the food here was amazing and top quality. The staff were brilliant and pleasure to deal with. The only downside was that as part of the half board we could only use the restaurant for lunch and not dinner (which i was not informed of at the time of booking).
The only other option was a buffet dinner in the evening which was nice the first time we went, but was the same day after day which was boring and not a pleasant experience. As a result we stuck to eating lunch at Ari and ordering takeout for the evening.
House Keeping:
Unfortunately this was the worst part of the experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and I requested some form of decoration and a cake for the room as a surprise for my wife. However, this was not done by the staff which took the shine off the day. There was no cake provided and when I raised my frustration to the duty manager, they then sent a cake the following day which had lost is affect.
After requesting the room to be cleaned and towels changed this was constantly not done and we had to remind them whenever we returned. We also had to request bathrobes and fresh towels as the ones provided had a very bad odour and did not look clean. The house keeping manager attended the room and did apologise and said he would make amends. Although his team came in immediately and cleaned the room we had a similar experience again.
Overall I would recommend this hotel if you have children as there is so much to keep them busy. The staff is what kept the review at 4 stars otherwise the house keeping experience would have made it lower.

Great family hotel close to theme parks. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were superb and the amenities well kept. The rooms were comfortable and well furnished although some maintenance needed to fixtures drawer fronts etc. Housekeeping was first class plenty of bottled water and sundries provided the only negative was the towels which were tatty at the edges and could do with replacing. We tried the three main restaurants plenty of choice, piping hot. Chef Ratheesh was on hand to ensure all meals were as needed in buffet. Ari Restaurant was disappointing we ate there twice, the first at lunch was great but in the evening the service was poor and the children only offered basic kids food, despite being able to select from the full menu at lunch! We would not recommend booking excursions at the hotel the process was long winded, faster online! If returning to Dubai for a FAMILY holiday we would not hesitate to rebook

Took a long time to choose a hotel in the UAE and stopped there, thanks to the feedback. But even with the maximum score on tripavisor, reality was well above expectations. I was immersed in the atmosphere of the Philippines, surrounded by service and the incredible attitude of the staff towards food, cleanliness, tourists! Not the reception we were met by a very pleasant Krishna, who not only quickly accommodated us after a long flight , but also agreed on an additional lunch on the last day of stay , as check-in was later than dinner. The food and the bar deserve separate applause. In the territory of 3 restaurants with different cuisine , the food does not have time to tire. And the Thapa chef came up very often and asked if we were happy and helped with the food selection, and Kranthi made sure we were comfortable. Bar drinks included in accommodation (we had hb+) , excellent with quality foreign alcohol of famous brands (please do not change this 🙏🙏🙏). And lemonades, soda, juices, tea, coffee are available anytime, as well as fruit ice.
All in all, I'd like to say thank you to absolutely all the staff. They made the holiday unforgettable. By the sea and Dubai Mall takes a transfer at 10:00 and takes away at 16:00 , here is a wish to the hotel - add an additional transfer to an earlier time , as you arrive at 11:00 in the very heat to the beach and leave , when the sun is not so strong and you can sunbathe. The rooms were cleaned every day, even a staff member came to check the quality of the room cleaning! And on his birthday, they made installations out of towels in the form of cake, animals, birds. It was nice 🫶.
Highest Rating, just a nice experience. I'll recommend it to all my friends and we'll definitely come back here! ❤️

Arrived at lapita at 10pm, we were welcomed by the loveliest staff. We were given a neck garland upon arrival and a drink. Check in was easy. Our room was upgraded to a pool view which we appreciated. A slight hiccup when there was no bed for our 8 year old daughter but they quickly brought us one for her, but offered to move us the following day to a room with 2 beds if it wasn’t good enough. We chose to stay put as she was happy with her bed.
The buggy’s are available regularly throughout the day to take you around the hotel, the entrance to riverland, or as close as they are allowed to take you to the parks. What a fantastic addition to be able to go to the parks as part of our hotel deal.
We stayed at the hotel on HB plus This gave us soft drinks all day, breakfast and lunch OR dinner. The evening buffet has everything you could possibly need, and if there’s something you need chef Sanjeev is more than happy to whip you something up. Rather than wait for the BBq meat while it is cooked, they bring it to your table when it’s ready, same with eggs for breakfast.
Our package also allowed us each 2 free alcoholic drinks each day, we received a voucher and used these later in the evening at the pool bar after our meal as it was on the way back to our room. We were always welcomed by all the staff..Suresh was always helpful but in particular on our first night. We were tired and hot and sticky, and he helped us navigate the half board plus and he knew we needed a beer. The drinks are quite pricey if you are buying them, but no more expensive than any hotel and still cheaper than some places in Dubai.
The pool was fairly empty on the days we used it, the lifeguards were friendly and there are towels available. It is well maintained and always clean.
Next to the pool is a playing field with football nets, and a badminton/volleyball net, we didn’t use these but the equipment is available at the towel station at the pool.
We used the shuttle into Dubai twice.. it’s very convenient. We didn’t come back on it as we didn’t want to be clock watching, but we had downloaded the careem app and got a taxi back. From Jumeirah beach resort it was £19, From Dubai mall it was £40, £21 to the marina, and £24 back to lapita from the Atlantis on the palm.
Motiongate was a particular highlight, we enjoyed the park being so quiet as it enabled us to repeatedly go on the rides our daughter loved and not have to queue for hours on end. We even returned another day to revisit her favourites.
Even though this is not central Dubai, we enjoyed coming back to a quiet resort out of the city, a place that feels like a family holiday. It’s quiet, peaceful, not pretentious like some places in Dubai, the staff really make you feel welcome and can’t do enough for you. We’ve recommended the hotel to everyone we know who could possibly be considering a trip to Dubai in the future.
We hope to return to Dubai in the future and would definitely be back to Lapita.

I should have avoided this hotel in the summer. I had very bad experience as I went in mid June to visit motiongate as well. The rooms are in separate buildings away from main lobby or restaurant. The worst thing is the buggy service which are very few and you have to wait in the boiling sun and almost none are empty that passes. When I tried calling for buggy, no one answers and when they answered they said you have to wait for one. The buggy also just drops you around 20 mins away from motiongate which is an impossible walk in the direct sun. We all suffered sun stroke and my wife had an asthma attack because of the high humidity. There are also no buggies at all from motiongate to head back to the hotel not even paid buggies. The real problem no one told us about the buggy issue when checking in so at least we can search for alternatives. Moreover, there is long queues in checkin. Bees and bugs everywhere. I requested toothbrush after midnight but no one came. At the end, when i complained to the hotel management, i got a very generic response and a very generic apology email. Very disappointing experience.
