This hotel offers a convient stay with affordable cost at the heart of down town of Dubai. It is not luxurious yet very comfy and cosy.
The location of the hotel is close to multiple transportation options like Union Metro Station and Union Bus Station.
I enjoyed my stay.

To be honest this isnt the worst of hotels but by far its not the best! The first night we arrived and there had been a maintenance issue and so we got moved for one night to there 4* hotel al jawhara gardens which was bliss compared to here!!

There is plaster falling off the walls everywhere and a damp smell as you walk up the stairs! The room was nice enough and was clean but the bathroom however wasnt great and had lots of bugs in there!
The staff were helpful and friendly but you dont get a great nights sleep as the 3 days we stayed here there was really loud music coming from a nearby hotel which felt like it was in the next room!
Wouldnt stay here again you definately get what you pay for with this hotel!

Not the best hotel i ever stay, but for that price, I couldn't ask more. Travelling to Asia, we had a 15 hours lay over in Dubai, so we had somewhere to stay and sleep for several hours. As my companion was woman, all the cheap hotels denied our stay (cause we weren't married or family) so we took that hotel.

A taxi ride from the airport, it cost 25-30 AED and 25 minutes. Also 5 minutes by foot from the hotel, you will find Al. Rigga metro station, and in several minutes you will be in Dubai Center.

Now about the hotel. As I told, do not expect so much. You will get a very clean and comfortable room, a descent room and a toilet. For me two minuses of the room: the dirty mirror in the toilet and the dirty windows in the room. But my stay was good and surely, I will recomend to someone, who wants to visit Dubai in low budget.

We had a nice experience at the hotel.

The staff were very courteous and eager to serve. We were greeted at checkin
.With a nice cool drink which was very refreshing.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and they arranged connecting rooms for our family. The air conditioning worked very well and the we enjoyed the pool in the evenings.

I tried to call the front desk a few times and i am not sure if I did something wrong but no one Ever answered. They did call back later to respond. I think some of the staff do not have as good of English - we had wanted water but when they called back we said not to bother because we were already in bed. This was not a big problem. (I don’t blame them because it was quite early, we were just tired from travel).

We were just taking an extended transit through Dubai. It is very close to the airport and the clerk called a taxi for us at checkout. The return taxi van was only a 20 diram fare. The taxi from the airport was 50.

We walked multiple times to the Deira city Centre mall, just a five minute walk away. We found lots of options for food there, in addition to the tasty and affordable ZamZam restaurant for Yemeni food.

The primary clerk at the front desk spoke English well, some of the others were not quite strong.

We did not eat at the hotel so we cannot comment on the food.

The price, location, proximity to shopping and restaurants, and service were great for us. Recommended.

Im writing this review to shared our experience in your hotel.

February 17-18 we had a reservation made via agoda we received our booking confirmation the payment has been deducted so from our side we've done our part.

When we reach in the reception the staff told us that our reservation was cancelled i told him but we didnt received any information calls or email from your side or from agoda. He told us cancelled just called agoda from that moment i felt disappointed in the way he deal with me so i told him agoda is your 3rd party any unnecessary things happen it was your responsibility to sort it out and that is not our problem. He called your reservation agent from the hotel same thing he told us our reservation has been cancelled  and called agoda. That's the time i ask for the manager incharge the reception guy said manager is in the other branch so i ask for any superiors to talk with as i felt that i was helpless.

He said no one is available. Suddenly the reception guy change his mood swing and ask for a moment so he could check our room! After 5 minutes he said your room is available.

One thing comes to my mind these people they dont deserve the opportunity has been given to them. They dont value their job by simply ignoring their duties and responsibilities.

The most terrible hotel I’ve ever been to. Although I understand that it’s only a 2-star hotel, they could have atleast maintain the cleanliness. The room is dirty, some of the furnitures are damaged. When I reached inside the room, there were food debris on the table. It looks like a haunted place. The mirror inside the bathroom has black marks. The door knob doesn’t look safe, rusty and woobly. I will definitely not coming back again!

Dear Mr. Maja, We are very sorry to hear that you were so disappointed with your stay at our hotel. Our aim is to provide a clean, comfortable, and pleasant place to stay, and we sincerely apologize that our hospitality and attention to details left something to be desired on this occasion - this is very unlike us. At our hotel, we take upkeep and cleanliness very seriously, and your room should always feel fresh and clean. Our staff generally does a great job when it comes to maintaining our facility and preparing the rooms for upcoming guests, so it is strange that this happened. Best regards, Al Jawhara Management

Especially if you are from Europe/Americas, stay away from this hotel !!!

Important - the picture of this hotel is incorrect. You won't like the real pictures.

1. As soon as I entered this hotel, I smelt sweat.
2. Staff over-charged me their own booking price irrespective of my booking on laterooms.com. They trick you by saying they did not charge you any price so far. What they don't tell you is that you are being charged irrespective of your booking (which is usually higher than your pre-booked price and you may not realise this until the end of your holiday when you check your bank statements). So take your bank account/credit-card statements with you.
3. Internet wifi is horrible, too slow and unreachable if you stay in upper floors.
4. Horrible odours from A/C. Toilets and shower are smelly with algae stains on walls.
5. Room carpets very dirty. I've dusted off some sand in front of my hotel room on return from a desert safari tour. Believe it or not - I saw that sand uncleaned for 3 days.
6. My room toilets were never cleaned during my entire stay.
7. The lift(elevator) is the worst of it's kind you'll find in your life.

Stayed for 4 nights in early November. I got some very low rates via Agoda but after reading reviews on different sites I was bit hopeless about the hotel. For my surprise, every perception went wrong and my stay was as wonderful as in any 4/5 star hotel. My first priority is always clean rooms and bathrooms and I got it at the hotel. I was given a room on 1st floor, the room and bathroom was very clean and were serviced daily. Every accessory was provided on a very short notice whenever asked for. Mr. Rajat and Mr. Mubeen were extremely helpful and their hospoitality was great during my whole stay. Th best thing about the hotel is its distance from Union Metro station, one of the two junction of both Red and Green metro lines so very convenient for tourists as you can go almost anywhere in Dubai as walking in scorching heat of Dubai isn't easy. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are on a budget trip. Keep your expectations realistic (come on what else do you want from a budget hotel, you aren't staying in Atlantis) and you will enjoy the stay.

I was given a room that has broken furniture and movable toilet seat. Room was changed to a better one.
Internet is free for 20MB. However it worked only the 1st time. Even with new password, a message popped up to say "Time expired". Finally purchased a 1-week pass. This works satisfactorily.

The good:location less than 10 mins walk from Union Metro but not in a nice area.room is clean.
The bad:staff rude, clueless when it comes to customer service.kept me waiting for 30 mins when I arrived from airport barely acknowledging me.Gave me a single bed room when I had paid for a double room didnt even have the courtesy to tell me til i got to room and complained; All was confirmed through email 24 hrs prior to arrival.Manager thought it was ok if we had a seperate mattress for first night. After explaining we had confirmed all prior to our arrival and had paid in advance--we had a contractual agreement for a double room manager then miraculously found me another room.Key did not work for room needing staff to let me in to our room with master key...Also given very poor instructions to get to hotel very irritating as i was carrying bags from Metro in 40C temperature and difficult finding anyone who knew where hotel was.
Hotel not really geared for foreign non-Arab travellers as no info in lobby for any tourist activities in Dubai.
INTERNET NOT FREE as previous review stated---only 20mb of internet free per day which doesn't last very long at all..also I could not sort out paid internet one morning when i needed it as IT guy was away on holiday.
THE UGLY-There is another hotel sharing the same walls as this hotel which has A NIGHT CLUB THAT BANGS OUT MUSIC AT FULL VOLUME TIL 2AM....so if you are a light sleeper that has an early start the next day you may get very little sleep. Also phone in corridor for house keeping went off through the night.
Rooms are small and with little natural light..There is only 1 member of staff at a time that should know what they are doing the other guys are just porters and domestic staff.
I would recommend spending just a few more dollars and getting a better room and the service you deserve when parting with your hard earn money. The area has a cheap seedy feel and i would be wary of taking children in this area.
Managerial staff seriously need retraining to show they care about the customers.
