We stayed at the Doome hostel in October during an overnight flight through Dubai. We picked it because of its location, and certainly wouldn't give it credit for anything else. There was no security for the main entrance, although you could say that the hostel is located in a quiet-ish residential area. The walk from the airport is easy enough, walking through what look to be long-term car parks. I certainly wouldn't do it in the middle of the night for the first time, however. Unfortunately, there is a resident cat that lives there too. It would fine if it didn't sleep on all the guests' beds, leaving hair everywhere. The dorms are segregated and unfortunately home to a lot of migrant (male) workers. Could have just been the season, but certainly, not somewhere I would return to as a single female. My female dorm was home to a European lady trying to find work (without a visa) and my husband's room had a multitude of bed arrangement issues. One fell asleep in the wrong bed at a ridiculous time of night and made for a very loud room at 2 am. There is no kitchen for travellers (that we were shown) so we ate out for all our meals. The bathrooms were acceptable however with decent showers. It was close to the airport for us, but unfortunately, the airport is also the closest transport hub to get into the city. It works if you're looking for a just a bed, but certainly is not the "backpacker hostel" we were hoping for.

I have prebook a bed on online on January 1,2018. When I arrived at 10:44pm, all the rooms are booked, and it turns out that the domme hostel has overbook even if I have made full payment in advance. I was very very upset & wandering & struggling to find a new hotel in midnight without full assistance from the hostel staff. Terrible experience & I will not recommend any friend to visit this hostel anymore. Really tired of it.

As others have mentioned, Taxi drivers don't know where this place is, so you're stuck paying more for the cab fare "and it's not that close to the terminal as others have mentioned As well" The lawn area looks like an unkept back yard with Christmas lights, there's one tv that the other "visitors" watch, and the bathroom looks as if it were a coat closet before. I arrived at 1130pm and was left with no one to check me in. It wasn't until 330am, when John "man who missed his flight and needed a place to stay" came, and a worker magically appreared, yelling at John to come in to check in. john came out moments later to say they were charging crazy amounts. At that point I left, letting them know I was cancelling and would message them about a refund, to which they have yet to reply too. I was left searching for a place to sleep until 7am because of this shady place. You'll pay the same overall at a descent hotel.

We arrived at 4:30 am and were allowed to check in no problem. The owner Teena is great and everyone is very friendly. Rooms are as expected. It's close to the airport but the metro takes about 50-60 mins to get into the centre of the city but they are regular and easy to use (22Dh).
