I've eaten all over Beijing and HK, and most Chinatowns worth their salt, but the meal I had here was top notch. Ants Climbing a Tree, Dan Dan Noodles (special order, but the chef and owners are from Sichuan), Steamed Spareribs with Rice Flour, and Mustard Greens. Highly recommended.

I read the reviews AFTER I had booked the room and was pretty worried that it was a flea pit. It was nothing of the sort, while it is a bit tired in some places ,I found the rooms to be clean and the service was excellent, and its not expensive. It is really handy to good bus service and...

I stayed here in Nov 2012 with a group of girls on our nursing prac trip. We stayed here on the weekends and felt like it was a home away from home. The owner of the hotel was very accommodating and definitely looked after us. The staff, even those with minimal english were very helpful. The rooms are nothing special...

This place most definitely belongs to the Communist era. Absolutely no character at all. But having said that - exceedingly friendly and helpful staff, right in the center, 100 metres from the Mekong river and - best of all - you can watch the early morning procession of monks receiving alms from your bedroom without having to book and pay...

Not the best place I've stayed in, but far from the worst. I chose Haysoke as I was coming from Vientiane on the last day of the Lunar New Year, and because there was a Haysoke guesthouse affiliate in Vientiane, I worked with them (although they were pretty incompetent as well as rude) to secure a reservation for Haysoke hotel...

I spent a couple of days in Luang Prabang and had been recommended Haysoke Hotel by a colleague who is a frequent visitor. It is an above average hotel with all the basic stuff needed. Not luxourious but ok for the price. Staff was friendly, when I complained about the breakfast eggs were cold, they had a new round cooked...

I stayed here for 3 nights recently, during a group tour with Explore. This was my second visit to L P and I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, staying so far from the centre just takes the edge of your enjoyment. Yes, you can walk, but it's 15 minutes brisk walk from the Post Office end of the...

While traveling with a group of 5 we had the misadventure of having to stay at Haysoke for 1 night for the sole reason that we couldn't find rooms anywhere else while searching on the web. Truth is that there is not much offer on the Internet, so if you find yourself in the same situation just head to the...

Absolute crap. This alleged "hotel" seems to exist only to take advantage of unwilling tourists. It's very far from the center, the rooms are more expensive than normal, the rooms are ugly and uncomfortable, the staff is rude. Worst of all, they brazenly tried to take advantage of us wherever possible. The room was priced too high. They charged $6...

I read a few reviews of this place and as we are on a pre-booked tour I had little optoin but to stay at this hotel. I must say form reading the reviews I was apprehensive but having stayed at this hotel I have been impressed. It is a no frills sort of joint but it's walkable to the main...
