LP is a beautiful little town overlooking the Mekong. The Thatsaphone is just off the main street, central but calm. The first good impression was created by the young Lao receptionist, who was the most beautiful thing I had seen for a long time! The hotel is basic, but clean and functional. LP is full of temples, and everything accessible... More

Stayed here for 5 nights recently and what a wonderful experience we had. the location is one of the best in luang prabang, down a quiet lane off the main street, minutes from the night market, royal palace, mount phusi and morning alms giving ceremony.the staff are wonderful, the young lady on reception so welcoming, helpful and professional. The room was spotlessly... More

The Hostels is one of many hostels in LP which locates in the heart of Tourist Street. The room I got was next to the reception on the ground floor. Once entered the room, it was smelling like it has been closed for long time. I asked to change room, there was no room available and they do nothing. I... More

As most reviews mention this is in a fabulous location down an attractive leafy laneway just off the main street. The woman running the hotel was totally charming, although I think they were shortstaffed and breakfast was a bit slow at times. Our room was nice enough although our air conditioner did not work – not a problem at this... More

Thatsaphone Guest House / Hotel is located in a quiet side street just off the main road, about 5 minutes from the Night Market. In short: the location is great. But that's about all that is great about this guesthouse. The bed was ok, AC worked fine, nice fridge and fresh towels every day. However, the room we had, on... More

We spent 1 night at Thatsafone, Luang Prabang. We chose the hotel based on location and price. The location was very good, just off one of the main roads in Luang Prabang, 2 minute walk from the Royal Palace and close to very nice bars and restaurants. The hotel is ok, we had a room right next to reception so... More

Reasonable price, nice staff, super hard bed, clean place. So-so wifi. Close to downtown yet tucked away from noise. Room by reception is annoying. AC is weak. No safe in room. There were 2 bottles of water. I requested a free bike.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was great. The room was clean, good shower, nice air con. We book hotels on the premise that they have a safety deposit box. We read this guesthouse had but we got to the room and there was no box. Bit annoying. I mentioned this to the guy at the front desk... More

After spending a few nights In hostels around Luang Prabang, we eventually came across this hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly man on reception who could not do enough for us through the whole duration of our stay. The room was big, light and clean and the bathroom was huge! The hotel is in such a good location... More

In a great location down a cute alley from the main road. The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable and wifi was fast. Great value for money. Shower didn't drain properly. Breakfast not included in price.
