We loved this small hotel only a ten minute walk in to town to reach the start of the night market. It is full of wonderful artefacts and curios and lovely nooks with comfy seating to curl up with a book. The junior suite we occupied was wonderful with a fabulous shower and bath and separate w.c.. The two swimming...

We stayed at Satri House in the beginning of November. It's a truly beautiful property, very well maintained, and the decoration of antiques and art gives it a special touch. But a few things were below expectations, or simply not a match for us. These may be fine for other travelers though. The location: Satri House is not in the...

We stayed 3 nights at the Satri House in Luang Prabang and would recommend it to those looking for a quiet Oasis on the edge of town. The hotel is a group of low rise structures joined by walkways and bridges that are bordered by gardens and pools of lotus flowers. The rooms are generous in size and the choice...

We stayed here for 4 nights, the hotel is a little way from town, we went by Tuk Tuk each time we went in, as it was too hot to walk. The staff very friendly, the hotel is set in various buildings and easy to get lost in. It is well kept with good housekeeping. it did not match up...

Satri House is a tranquil, beautiful boutique hotel that oozes the charm of a property with a place in history - it has texture and character in a way that many other luxury hotel chain offerings at several times the price tag don't get close to. The staff are very friendly and the food had some real hits, as well....

Beautiful property with friendly staff who make a real effort to make the stay as comfortable as possible. We stayed in a Colonial suite and could not fault the ambience, it felt like staying in a private home (albeit a somewhat grand one). I agree with some of the previous comments about the somewhat strange design of the shower but...

Amazing. Beautiful space, architecture and decor were both inspiring. The layout meant that the place felt nearly empty most of the time, due to the quiet corners everywhere and rooms being spread out over different wings. Service was consistently enthusiastic and well-meaning, and while English was sometimes a bit of a struggle for the staff, as seems to be common...

We came to Satri house after three days at a Four Seasons Tented Camp in Thailand, so we were not exactly roughing it. Southeast Asis is a land of stark contrasts. Certanly Laos and Cambodia (not to mention Myanmar) are desperately poor, subsistence economies, and the living conditions even with 100 yards of a gorgeous, cosmopolitan luxury hotel like Satri...
