This has now been replaced by "LakangThong 2 Friendly" Guesthouse (although they will deny it, but the photos show exactly the same inside and outside). Don't book therefore, you will end up without a room. I tried in vain to contact Central Backpacker beforehand to confirm as I had a doubt, but no email and the phone number I found...

It's a good place to stay: it's not expensive, with breakfast :) Bananas and tea are always available. Also the internet. There is a lot of young people, so it's easy to meet new people. I truly recomended.

One of the nicer hostels in Luang Prabang. The dorm rooms are very clean and the beds are super comfy. The free breakfast is average but you can get tea and coffee and fruit for free all day. There are only 2 showers for 12 people in the dorm rooms and one of them doubles up as a toilet so...

Me and 2 friends are currently travelling South East Asia, and I'll be honest- our standards aren't that high. We were excited to get a private room but on reflection it was expensive; we paid $30 per night for a triple and no discount for multiple days, with free breakfast (which was delicious!). The location was good though, close to...

My partner and I stayed here in a private room for just a little bit extra than a dorm. Bed and private bathroom, great. We also had a TV with English channels. Free breakfast was delicious and a fantastic way to meet other people! The only con is maybe it was a little dirty. Oh and the wifi doesn't reach...

Pros: - The family that runs this place is really nice. - Breakfast (included) is decent. - Location is pretty good; a few minutes' walk to the main part of town. - They charge reasonable prices for tours, with pick-up at the hostel. - The water pressure in my dorm room was amazing. - Plenty of space to store your...

I paid for a double room for one person to get a good night's sleep. It was acceptable, although the wifi left a lot wanting, I couldn't send anything out but at least got a connection. Sleep quality was good even though the room was right at the front close to traffic.

Stayed in the four-bed bunk during my stay in Luang Prabang. Pretty happy with the free breakfast, and the place always filled with someone to chat with, beds were pretty big and comfy (albeit on the firm side!), the staff weren't particularly friendly, probably a wee bit jaded, didn't had any issue with them although I saw some minor arguments...
