After getting a bus from Vang Vieng all we wanted to do was get rid of our backpacks and chill! After asking a few places we settled on Rattana as it offered air con and also only 150,000 kip for three people - 50,000 each, which was well worth it. The staff were laid back and easy going which is...

Great location, friendly and helpful staff can organize bus tickets transfers almost everything. There are two buildings. Rooms and bathrooms in one building are ok enough big and light. Rooms in other building are little small and dark.

Stayed in this place for 1 night. It was our fourth guesthouse in Luang Prabang, and a very nice one at that. Booked a family room (1 double and 1 single bed) a few days in advance. When we arrived the receptionist recognized us immediately and showed us to our room. The room was big enough for our family, and...

Very good location near to the river as well as night market and other bakeries. The biggest let down is rooms are very small double room was converted into triple occupancy we hardly had any space to move. Bathrooms are very small. the one out the room was bigger. We had 3 generations (total of 5 people traveling) and we planned to stay 1 week in Luang Prabang. We know the trick is to find accommodation once you arrive, but we were arriving off of the two day slow boat from Thailand and didn't want to take a chance. We decided to book one night on line in advance...

Stayed here twice, first time our room was nice, big bright room but bathroom was separate, not shared with anyone else but still across the hallway which didn't suit us. You can have aircon but costs an extra 5 dollars a night which we thought a bit steep. Second time we stayed in a room with attached bathroom and aircon....

- Great location - Nice, smiling, staff - Affordable and clean rooms When I arrived at the city Centre, I wasn't sure where to go for my accommodation. I walked around the city and found this lovely guesthouse. It's located just a block away from the night market and at the end of the street you have the mekong river....

We stayed at Rattana for 2 nights whilst in Luang Prabang. We enjoyed our stay, there was a nice chill out area to read books and relax. Our twin room and bathroom was basic but clean, and the staff lovely. We had none of the issues with being charged a high rate etc.

When I checked in I notice that the bedding was not spotless. It was stained and just looked mangy. When I settled to sleep there were numerous bugs which were roaming on the bed during the night. I killed some then gave up. I really should have left but it was late and I tried to get some sleep on...

We ended up here randomly after bargaining prices of other guesthouses around. That was my lucky day, I felt sick after a 4 days trek in the jungle, with strong fever from food poisonning. The owner, Dr. Somphone, who speaks really good french, took care of me and even drove me the hospital for blood test. We had a amazing...
