very basic, good for group travelers, sociable but very loud at night and in the morning. Although the city shuts down at 11.30pm it is very loud at night got woken up 2/3 nights by strange noises and monks playing the drums. overall, nothing to write home about does what it says on the tin. stayed with GF wasn't ideal...

Enjoyed my stay here, was close to the night market/public swimming pool. The staff were great and very helpful although I had a slight problem ordering my breakfast with NO mayonnaise! Had 4 breakfasts, each time I asked for no mayo but it came back with mayo ha, not a massive problem but if you don't like mayo then you...

Pros: -Friendly and helpful staff. -Free tea, coffee, water and wifi. -Good breakfast (drink, egg, bread and bananas). Cons: -Cleaning staff don't speak any English and want to clean your room even when you're in the shower. -Laundry was a little expensive (12,000 KIP).

Large clean dorms with air con and breakfast included. The night we stayed Phil the manager got us all around a table drinking shots of (horrific but hilarious) Laos vodka before getting us a tuk-tuk into town. If that's not your thing though then the rooms are clean and the communal area is nice, the showers are hot and the...

Nice enough, clean with good amenities, free toast and a banana for breakfast too! It just felt like quite an unfriendly atmosphere, people didn't seem to talk to one another which obviously isn't a reflection of the hostel itself. We moved the next day as felt it was too expensive for its location and found a cheaper alternative closer to...

What an amazing staff! Not only is Phil always smiley and there for your every need (even when he is busy), he also becomes your friend and CARES! Not to forget the few others right by his side. I felt so at home, always politely being cared for. It was great to have breakfast and coffee (Phil loves to serve...

It's really a backpackers place. You can meet and talk to co-backpackers at the long table at the guesthouse's lobby/dining area. Free breakfast and free tea, coffee and banana anytime :) I had trouble booking a tuktuk to Kuang Xi Falls. The guy at the reception forgot or misunderstood me and so I had to wait for another 5 hours...

I stayed in the dorms. The beds are sturdy, bug-free and spaced apart so you are not crammed next to anyone. The rooms are dry, air-conditioned and most importantly CLEAN! The hostel is far enough from the action that it is not noisy at night but close enough to walk to everything. The breakfast was a tomato and onion omelette...

I slept for two nights, or tried to. The dorms had many beds, around 16 I think. I slept poorly, although because of fellow travellers, not the hotel. The first night other backpackers came back at 3 am shouting completely drunk (and one so sick he made loud noises for a long while after that). Not the fault of the...
